TBH it's a fairly pointless exercise to look at Brewis' "success rate" in isolation, without comparing it to the recruiting of other clubs in the same period. 36% success rate might be in the top 5 recruiters in the league. Or it could be terrible.

If you're rating him based off simply the talent he's bought to the club, where does he sit? The 2011 draft is a huge hole, the 2013 draft looks like being a great one for a long time. 2014 could go either way. Has he been a success?

A moderate success. Only two Top 10 picks in 10 years and none since 2009. That he's put together lists good enough to be in or around the finals in every year since is a reasonable result.

True, but 2011 is a hole in every team's list except for GWS who had 11 of the first 14 picks and Port who snagged Wingard at 6. Amazingly bad draft.

Made consecutive prelims, four consecutive finals series and finished no lower than 10th for a long, long time without bottoming out. Most teams would kill for that over the last decade. Flags are bloody tough to win, Bryce was pivotal in putting us in a position to have a crack. Great job.

13 years is a long time in most work places these days. Makes sense that he and the club would part ways eventually. Seems to have been a beneficial relationship to both parties.

All the best for the future to Bryce. I think he leaves a strong legacy for the club to build upon.
