When Buckley took over the GF team did you expect to be talking about another flag or getting smashed by teams again 3 years in?

It's not that young! In fact it will get younger in 1-2 years you will be winding out that rubbish until 2016 and accepting it because we are young.
Only this week hawthorn went in with a second string backlineSo we dont have a young list?? Regular 22 would be one of the youngest in the comp.
When did Hawks or anyone have their 4 best defenders out at the one time???
But dont let me rain on your "buckley is terrible" parade
I don't think Buckley will be sacked.
But I do think that at the end of the season he will assess his own performance and come to the conclusion that he is doing Colingwood harm.
I expect him to do the right thing.
...may even finish 9th!lol... we are so turning into Richmond..
I said one of, not theOnly this week hawthorn went in with a second string backline
Youngest in the comp? GC are younger beat us, Essendon were younger today beat us, port are younger than us even in a slump are miles ahead of us.
I want the bloke to succeed but can't see any Buckley 'stamp' on this club. Stamp your authority, give the players a spray (like malthouse on anzac day 05) and make sure the cameras are on you.
Show the players who's boss. Show us an attractive brand of football, not the same defensive crap week after week. Get selection right. Maybe pick a couple of forwards so we can kick more than five goals a game.
Do anything. Something different.
Young lists and young best 22 are very different though.I said one of, not the
and no, only Brisbane, Melbourne, GWS and GC have a younger list than us.
Also were the Hawks BEST 4 defenders missing? We have had large periods of games where that was the case. Too much has fallen on the young blokes in the backline and for the most part they have performed really well. As I said I expected a drop off as our young players would start to falter in the later part of the season.
Edit: Port are younger than us
I'm sick of poster saying this because IT IS WRONG.. check your f@ckin facts.. we are not one of the youngest playing 22 in the league. Hawks, Port and Cats and others are putting out younger players week in week out than us ffs! We also just lost to Bulldogs and GC and they have younger playing groups. We do have a youngish list and most of those young guys play VFL! Our senior list has an age profile that puts us in the middle of the pile... and since you mention it... have a look at the Hawks backline injuries... missing Lake, Gibson, Stratton... don't let me rain on your factually incorrect parade. So we dont have a young list?? Regular 22 would be one of the youngest in the comp.

Injuries are the problem.
Imagine having a reasonably fit list plus Brad Dick in the side
The 'where did you tip us to finish at the start of the season' argument only proves that under Buckley our expectations have lowered dramatically and are only getting lowerThat would be the worst possible move you could do for our club right now. It solves nothing. In fact, sacking Buckley now would only entrench the so called 'downward spiral' you believe we are on. Just out of curiosity, where did you tip us to finish on the ladder at the start of this season?
Hawthorn have a deeper list and able to cover outs far easier. Our players to come into the side to replace injured players are young and inexperienced, no comparison. As I said nobody has had to endure their best 4 defenders out at the same time. Lake, Gibson and Whitecross missing at the one time they still had Burgoyne, Schoenmakers, Hodge, Birchall, Suckling. That reads far better than our lineup down back doesnt it?Young lists and young best 22 are very different though.
Adelaide side we lost too, bulldogs side we lost too, GC side we lost too and essendon side today we lost too were all younger than us.
Hawks had no Lake, no Gibson, no whitecross
Plus dealt with Injuries to Hodge, Mitchell, and others this year. Our injury list has been no worse than theirs.
Hawthorn have played kids or recycled players too though. Litherland, and Spangher for starters.Hawthorn have a deeper list and able to cover outs far easier. Side does need more Dick.Injuries are the problem.

Actually we need balls.Side does need more Dick.
Because in 2011 he had the belief that his way was correct. If buckley wanted to do the right thing, as u say, why didnt he choose to delay his coaching ambition a year or 2 when we were flying in 2011 to let us focus on winning premierships ( yes mick was to blame too ) . No way he will step down, too much pride and self worth to do that
If 3 years isn't a long time you'll happily accept Buckley dishing out that crap for the next 3 years. Won't wash with most fans. No way he will get that long to produce! You talk as if this is unusual - three years is a long time in football mate. I was expecting another flag in 2011. I also expected the competition to catch up. I expected players to get old and leave the sport. I also expect injuries. And I expect young players to be inconsistent. I expect to be better managed than both St. Kilda and Richmond and so far, my expectations have been met. I'm also disappointed. I'd like a Geelong like dynasty, but every Tom and his Dick knows that Geelong side was an extraordinary collection of talent. But I'm not an idiot. I shy away from the easy option - 'sack the coach' - because if that is the way we do go, then you may as well get comfy and start making nice with the Melbourne, Saints and Tigers supporters because that's where we'll end up.
Now, answer my frogging question...where'd you tip us to finish at the start of the year?
