True. Just thought it was too funny for a coach that relies on intent more than skills, flexibility and plans to mention jumping ship.

Just can't see how Buckley isn't clogging up your list. You can't sneak around the boundary or rotate the shit out of everyone.

Buckley shouldn't be mentioning walking anywhere... it's all about the players buying in and minimizing the fortnightly snooze.

You can't keep a good man down but for the laughs we can at least hope you can keep Buckley down at Lexus.
Will people stop asking for him to be re-signed by Eddie after he wins enough games and a flag for Collingwood?

I wonder if opposition supporters will endorse Buckley so strongly then.

I'm on the bandwagon of having him replaced but there's logic to my reason.

It's not a decision based on just ladder positions.

His side has lost 6 games this year with all being in winning positions bar one and the biggest margin being less than 4 goals.

Does he still have the players? The above indicates yes.

How have the Pies faired against the top sides they've played?

Almost beat the Giants, beat the Cats, almost beat the Dogs.

Had they kicked better and more accurately, could've easily been 6 and 3 instead of 3 and 6.

This tells me Buckley isn't the worst coach going around and what will decide his fate is how they will perform for the rest of the season.

If they finish between 8th and 10th and they are still playing competitively, I am not against him getting another season.

I just don't buy into this weekly Buckley thread update on the main board, especially when we haven't been comprehensively beaten all season.

Almost every other bottom 10 side in the comp has had a blowout against them, why isn't there pressure on their coaches?

This. It's so ironic when people say they want Buckley to remain as coach whenever he has another win. It's an oxymoron of the highest propensity. So when will people stop saying they want him resigned? When all of a sudden he gets enough wins and the commentary is 'oh, duh, oh yeah, he hmm is good now but'....

This. Collingwoods form isn't actually worse than Melbourne's. They've missed out on some close ones as have we, but all in all I'd say they'd be as good as us and Fremantle. I actually tipped them to make the 8 this year.

I expect Collingwood to put a reasonable month together. A bad side doesn't come back from 7 goals down, a bad side loses by 13-14 goals. I reckon they're not as bad as people think.
I guess it hinges on how highly you rate Hawthorn as well. Hawks should never have got that far in front, that they capitulated doesnt mean much to me. There was too much emotion in the game for such a momentum swing to say Buckley did an outstanding job. Personally, i reckon that come back says more about Pendlebury's captaining than it does about Buckleys coaching.

I was just being facietous! But honestly our worst seems way below the worst of most sides in the comp at the moment
I disagree.

Your side last night, missing a few, absolutely demolished an AFL side 6 goals to nil in the first quarter. The same side that should've beaten GWS the week before.

As mentioned, it's an even comp and sides that play 4 quarters can beat anyone on any given day.

There's company in misery.

Our Malthouse trained coach is just as redundant.
All Malthouse trained coaches should be kept in a room and locked up so they can;t do any more harm - Buckley, Eade, McKenna, Neeld, Watters, BScott etc. all have deficiencies and have never tasted success. Scott has gotten close but realistically, he was never going to go all the way.

Pendelbury has got to be one of the most underrated midfielder of his time. If you had to pick the top 5 mids since 05 he is a shoe in. Same league as Ablett, Judd, Mitchell and goodes

He had those trademark Pendlebury moments again yesterday, just so much time amongst traffic, and untouchable.

Absolutely. And he is an excellent captain, like when he touched up Hodge last night. Wasnt too much in it, but it set the tone that he wasnt going to let some argy bargy from Hawthorn rattle his men.

He's good like that, and when people talk about the best captains in the league he often gets forgotten about in favour of the media darlings. Which is bullshit.

Absolutely rate him. Would be in my best 22 any day of the week.
