Well thanks Nathan for everything you have done for this club over the last 25+ years.
I do think this is the correct call, however it is still sad to see it finish like this.
Best of luck in the media, i have no doubt you'll end up there for a long career.

It has forced our hand. Make no mistake there are forces at play and big offers being made. It’s out of Clarko, Lyon and Scott (Geelong). Blues have big offer to Clarko but will probably land with Lyon. Clarko still not sure - now he knows we have a spot available and his thoughts can be clear if he decides to leave Hawks. Worst case for us - none of the above. Bucks has done the right by the club to at least provide clear air for the next 3-4 months.

The last few years have been hard on him and the pressure of his job would test anyone.

Thanks for everything, Bucks. No-one could doubt your commitment to the cause. You will be remembered as a champion player and an excellent coach. Thanks for getting us ahead of the cheats on H2H and some great wins along the way.

Sad times. I know a lot will be thrilled but I still love bucks and think he’s a champion of the club.

I said this a while back.

As soon as Wright arrived, you just got a gut feeling it was the first step in getting Clarkson to Collingwood. This was probably sped up because Carlton have probably started sniffing around Clarkson now too.

It's no coincidence we've been hearing kerfuffle out of Hawthorn about Sam Mitchell. Hawthorn earmarked Mitchell as Clarko's successor AGES ago. But now that Clubs will be after him, Hawthorn needs to decide now what it wants to do.

I wonder if this opens the door to a coaching department clean out for you guys? I know a lot of my Pies supporting friends aren't massive fans of a coaching panel that are so good mates because it generally leads to a bunch of 'yes men'. The interest in Leppitch as an assistant is known, does he get brought in an assistant and you aggressively target a Mitchell or Clarkson?

A sad ending for a Club legend. Who’d have imagined Eddie and Bucks both gone within space of three months?

Timing is good - gives us maximum time to find and negotiate deal with replacement. Having Graham Wright surely strengthens our chances of landing Clarkson (or Sam Mitchell).

Wow, talk about mixed emotions. I'm excited about a fresh start for the club, but I'm genuinely gutted for Bucks. He is and always will be a legend of this club and I'm so disappointed with how things have ended up. With that said, I'm really glad he/we have made the call after a win, and not after a thrashing. Makes it look like it's on his terms, which is what he deserves.

Hope he is not lost to the game I think he is a great thinker and always enjoyed listening to him he was very insightful and honest.

He was a fantastic commentator on 7 before going into coaching. It would be a welcome change if he replaced one of the morons in their commentary box.

As much as some of his decisions annoyed me, Bucks has been an integral part of the Collingwood footy club for the best part of 3 decades. He'll always be a Collingwood champion.

Feel like this is the best outcome for all involved. He can escape from the horrible spotlight for a while, would probably be burnt out beyond belief! Also allows us to get a step ahead of teams like Carlton in the coaching market. Selfless move.

Wish he was taking his assistants with him. Harvey/Sando will have earpieces in, Bucks will be coaching from home lol.

I cannot wait for a new coach to come and bring in a brand new assistant coaching team.
