Please dont start this again his a champion and most champions are hated lets leave it at that
That's not true. Only cocky arrogant ones (ala Buckley, Carey). Nobody ever says a bad word against players like Robert Harvery, Andrew McLeod, James Hird etc etc.

What if Buckley stayed at Brisbane, they might have not gotten lappin black, power and akermanis, anyone smart enough to think about that, what happened happened, no point saying bucks should of stayed with brisbane

No he wanted to go to Collingwood. His reasoning was he wanted to play for a team that would participate in and win premierships. Ironically, the team he left became the most succesful team in the AFL winning 3 premierships in a row.

No. The reality is Buckley is the only player in the history of this competition that I am aware of that went to a club with full disclosure that he would leave and when and with a pre arranged transfer deal that would ensure the club that traded him was looked after. From what i gather its not so much that he left brisbane but more in the way he did it. Am i correct?
No matter how many kicks he got or how many pin point passes he delivered, in years to come Buckley will be remembered for a few unsavoury incidents.
