Yep. I remember that time well. Remember when James Kelly got a week for a bump that nearly made high contact? The reasoning "potential to injure".

Did you see Cunnington's "incident" that cost him a week? The worst MRP decision I've seen for a while.

Absolute shocker.

Here it is...he got 2 weeks for it...reduced to one with guilty plea.

It doesn't look like much, but when you slow it down it looks like he runs passed the ball and makes contact. I think that's one of the problems of the MRP. They make decisions by watching the footage slowed down. If they watched it at regular speed they would realise, it's a contact sport.

Craap! I thought the MRP might have turned a bit of a corner this year after the Cockatoo decision.
But then this. Another year of Chook Lotto.

Westhoff did play.....and got an absolute bath from Scarlett...to be fair though, he was just a kid.

It's the nature of the beast , survival of the fittest
Not long before that the Lions beat up our underage mids at KP unmercifully - we rose above that many years later to win 3 flags in 5 years
Most premiership sides have that hard arse element that takes no prisoners and in an even competitition that sometimes makes the difference
Look at Rooke particularly in 2009 but also in 2007 when his first act was to try and take Rodan out - he missed but what did Rodan do after that? In 2009 his fierceness was awesome
Chick did the same for the Coasters
I hope we salute again and when we do maybe it's a combination of Selwoods hardness , Dangers brilliance and a sprinkling of Cockatoo magic
