I would happily take him back in a heartbeat at the Hawks, but I can’t see him leaving Sydney and given the state of the Hawks list it’s highly unlikely to happen.

Hawthorn would have to at least pay half if not all of his remaining salary for the Swans to even consider trade him.

Swans would want a first rd pick and the hawks to pay all the contract. Don't see it happening.
Could happen for a second rounder (based on age) and maximum half the con t fact, bit unlikely

We need mid 20s players, not 30-somethings.

Buddy will always be one of my favourite players, but the thought of him returning to the Hawks in 2020 is ridiculous. Once you leave the Hawks, there's no coming back. Time for the Hawks to look forward, not back.
