Laughable that this above got two weeks down to 1. This is what they're saying Buddy might get? Yeo is centimetres off the spoil, on field umpire has no issue at all, other players hardly remonstrate. Just so happens to hit him on the nose (which makes someone bleed) and he gets suspended.

Bryce Gibbs performs a tackle (exactly like Buddy's tackle in the 1st qtr) but is unlucky enough to have Gray make contact with the ground and is suspended for 2.

Franklin here has been pursuing the ball, looked up and abandoned his pursuit to hit Edwards, the impact is huge but so happens to be across his whole chest as well as his head, there's no blood or injury so the MRP will no doubt let him off lightly.

Not anti Buddy here, but the MRP needs a complete overhaul in the way it operates.
Gibbs / Yeo here are completing necessary footballing actions, they're in a contest and have had the misfortune of another player being injured (or in Yeo's case, just bleeding from the nose ... he was later concussed in a collision with a team mate)

My initial thought would be two weeks.

Given the mrp, that could either mean 2 down to 1, or 3-2. Given Edwards is ok, I'm more inclined to say the former.

I'd say horse would be frustrated with franklin, but if he sticks the hands out and marks the ball rather than trying to chest mark, then none of this happens.

Couldn't stop his momentum or change direction at that speed and braced for contact late. Not a sniping act by any means (if there was intent behind it Edwards would literally be dead) but the height difference and subsequent head contact means he has to go. 2 weeks is my tip.

Very lucky with the new reduced penalties this year. You have to discount the Lewis and hodge, that was just media driven and made up to get the result demanded.

Went past the ball and aimed at Edwards so should be intentional. Edwards left field under concussion rule so is medium. He has returned so not high. Edwards wasn't head over ball, so potential severity shouldn't come into it.

That gives him 3 down to 2.

Also nice and fresh for the Hawks showpiece.....not that afl consider these things of course...

May be lucky and get careless, after all it is not like he is renown for being he clean below his knees for a kpp.

To me, it looked intentional. He ran past the ball and intended to deliver a solid bump. Doubt the head high was intended but the bump was.

I would see it as intentional, in play, high contact and arguably medium impact. I'd be guessing that it will be 3 down to 2 on an early plea but maybe his record will affect that.

That said, its always chooklotto time at the MRP. It depends what AFL House tells the MRP how to grade it.
