All i want to see is consistency and sensible results.

I don't buy the swans protected crap and obviously as a fan of the club its unlikely I ever will.

However its clear that we aren't getting consistency week to week no matter how much they tweak the system.

I remember they brought in the tick box system because some of Neil Busse's outcomes caused much head scratching - then the Jonoathon brown whose QC successfully argued that Brown's king hit was not part of being in play (because occurred after siren I think) therefore could not be judged by tribunal - and he walked. Busse should've told the QC to pi$$ off and those "legal" arguments hold no weight in the tribunal system. Instead he rolled over and then many media (Patrick Smith excepted) went for Busse who was pressured into resigning.

Time elapsed. They changed it this year (because game time is ridiculous when the point is the length of time it takes to test concussion).

Respectfully disagree. I know that the herald sun article indicates this, but is there any corresponding entry on AFL site? The rules of game link doesn't discuss interchange rules, and the only article I could find was club doctors requesting that it be elapsed time not game time, but no confirmatory article after that.

I have a low opinion of Herald sun journalism (well, journalism in general) and wouldn't put it past a junior researcher to have read the doctor article and interpret it as a done deal.

You'll have to ask Richmond that. Point is they allowed him to play on for the 20 mins until half time so the assessment was precautionary only.

You cannot make that conclusion that it was only precautionary.

The reason it's a MINIMUM 10 minut s before the concussion test is because it takes a while for symptoms to present. It's not a fixed interval. You have no idea what he t the docs at half time or how he was feeling.
