A good comedian knows when to go out on a high. This is one of them times.
Yeah see the edit...didn't realise it was genuine :(
Can see why people are getting up in arms as its the same leg there were doubts over. Against GWS too and to lose him for tough matches against Pies and Essendon...sheesh

Players must play when fit. The decision to play him was the correct decision if all the relevant tests were taken by the club. The mistake is no doubt a massive one, however it is a reality we must accept. Testing times without Buddy as a focal point, but what an opportunity for players to shine without him. No Buddy No Hawthorn? I don't think so. Roughead is the key (not just as a forward but on the ball also).

Turning point of our season.

It's over....pack it up. We won't win another match ;)

Have refrained from commenting till now but this decision could cost us top 4 and the premiership. Couldn't have been managed any worse than what it has been. Well Roughy to full forward and Bailey / Lowden might get a run early (posted elsewhere but felt compelled to duplicate it here)

Surely Hodge will struggle to have any impact this year as he's quickly running out of time. Shocking news on both fronts. You have to wonder about the management of both injuries. If Sewell and Burgoyne were rested for being sore then ..... Unfortunately the repercussions could be huge.

Obviously convinced the club that he could play without risking injury on Sunday and the club's medical officers and selection committee bought the story.

Really, the club should have pulled him from the game and told him to not risk injury, just like it did with Sewell. Lowden makes his debut and tests himself against Giles, Roughead plays full-forward and away the Hawks go.

Now the Hawks have a tougher challenge than it should have in order to make the top four and, ideally, the top two.

Hodge developed swelling on his knee walking up and down the MCG friday night giving special comments for Channel 7.

Now Gunston has to step it up and show why we chased so hard for him....

The HFC should be held accountable for this as they could of rested him and did not need to play him when it was ok to rest Burgoyne, Sewell.

The head of fitness should be sacked.

Unforgivable for Buddy to be playing this weekend when everyone else in the entire country knew he should be rested. That in itself is one thing, but when you add Hodge's knee management too (which has clearly been poor) then his head should roll.

This may seem harsh but we are in serious contention for a premiership and you need to lean towards caution, not complacency. I personally would sack him.

Bailey, no chance in hell. Time for Gunston and keep Rough and Hale as the Rucks.

Its GUNNERS time.

Yes, I am pissed off.
