Last year and the year before it was "How good is this Mundy kid", now its "he's crap" He's probably our second best "defender". I rate Johnson number 1 and then Mundy with McPharlin not far behind, but Black cannot be included.. he doesn't man up and play like a forward 50 defender.

Black plays his role extremely well. One of the main reasons that we are 0-2 is because he hasn't been out there doing it.

Indeed he does, but his role is a sweeper, he is the distributer of the ball once the defenders get it to him. Its like saying Andrew McLeod is a defender, but I don't remember the last time that he was playing man on man and spoiling like Ben Rutten - He does play on the half back flank though, just like Black.

My buddy Shane Parker seems to be struggling with the new in the back rule. If a replacement was available I think he may not be in the team.

He played very well from all accounts. Dominated and racked up possessions at will. Then he clocked some bloke late in the final quarter - the guy came off all bloodied up and needed stitches in his head... thanks for coming Blacky - here's a week on the sidelines.
