Good draft pick, dude is on the rise in a hurry.

--------------

Bills fifth-round QB Nathan Peterman will work with the second-team offense in the second preseason game.
It is not a surprise considering Peterman has been working with the second unit during practice, but it does confirm he has jumped veteran T.J. Yates on the depth chart. Likely facing a lost season and with no long-term commitments to Tyrod Taylor, it is not crazy to think Peterman takes regular-season snaps this year.

I guess you have to trust the process that Beane and McDermott are implementing.

But to give up 2 starters both number one in their positions 4 weeks out from the start of the season is baffling.

And how about this:

Two first rounders for Watkins.
Watkins for Gaines + second rounder

= two first rounders for Gaines + second rounder.

Geez I feel dudded.

Not sure how Peterman dropped to the fifth round in the first place.

Boldin Hey Bills you serious about this year?
Bills: Yep we got Sammy and Shady Taylor
Boldin; I'm in

next minute

Bills trade Sammy and Boldin retires

A pretty amazing turn around by Boldin inside two weeks, did he really think Watkins made the Bills a playoff contender? Had to be something else, surely.

Oh I'd imagine it was something else mostly but you have to wonder how the trading of those two players impacted the players views of what the season is going to hold

I know its not a good look trading Watkins but i understood why the Bills did it, with his injury history they were never going to sign him after his rookie deal was up this year, better getting something in return for him now, rather than nothing when they let him walk at season's end.

Darby on the other hand was kind of a head scratcher. I know about the lack of depth at WR but i rate him highly, was kinda surprised with that trade all things considered. (especially when Matthews rookie contract is due to expire after this season also)

Doesnt seem to be "oh s**t the bills suck"

Anquan Boldin played for several NFL teams. He retired on Sunday from the team with which he spent the least amount of time.

“We respect Anquan’s decision to retire from the NFL,” Bills G.M. Brandon Beane said in a release. “We appreciate the time he gave us over the past two weeks. He is one of the best receivers to play this game and we wish him and his family all the best moving forward.”

Boldin’s own statement suggests he has a higher calling than adding to a potential Hall of Fame career.

“Football in its purest form is what we all strive for as a nation,” he said. “People from all different races, religions and backgrounds working together for one shared goal. The core values taught in football are some of the most important you can learn in life. To always be there for the guy next to you and not let your fellow man down. You do whatever it takes to make sure your brother is OK.

“Football has afforded me a platform throughout my career to have a greater impact on my humanitarian work. At this time, I feel drawn to make the larger fight for human rights a priority. My life’s purpose is bigger than football.”

If Boldin has had the impact in his future pursuits that he had in football, he’ll be a tremendous success. We wish him well.

Two weeks. FFS.

Its the NFL equivalent of a one night stand, and we've been made to look like cheap sluts.

I eagerly await the next kick in the guts to be delivered by 4.00pm Friday. I wonder what it could be?

Maybe Shady decides he wants to devote his life to cleaning the ghettos, effective immediately.

What's the bet Boldin ends up our most productive receiver this year

It's still possible when receptions can go for negative yards!

Meteorotic rise by Nathan Peterman. He's been looking very good in this dress-rehearsal. Should be named week 1 starter.

--------------

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Taylor's head hit the turf hard on a third down sack on the Bills' opening drive. He had to be helped off the field, and was immediately escorted into the Bills' medical tent. Fifth-rounder Nathan Peterman was in for the Bills' second drive. Taylor struggled mightily before going down, looking extremely uncomfortable under center and delivering some wobbly passes. He finishes the preseason 14-for-29 (48.2 percent) for 100 yards (3.44 YPA), zero touchdowns, two picks and two rushes for 14 yards. If the tanking Bills want to bench Taylor, he's giving them cause.
