I'll tell you the main difference, Hogan and Watts could play up the ground and we're intelligent forwards and Pedo was unselfish. Honestly much better than the talls we have forward now.

I think also our half forwards pressed up aggressively and we left ourselves space to move into. If you look at that goal Bugg kicked, he's our only forward when the ball is kicked and gets a genuine one on one. You also have Pedo providing the shorter option and Frost with a paddock in front of him heading towards the pocket.

That was the style around then too, lots of teams played like that. Don't see as many over the back goals like that anymore but the space is a key factor in scoring yeah. Always has been
