How do the players like for example.. Sansbury from the kanga's bench press 80kg?

I'm an absolute rake and i can bench 100kgs.

I know for a fact that Lonie was expected to bench 80 in his first weights session at the pies.

Spriggs benches in excess of 120kg.

Leon could easily bench 100

Not everyone can bench 80kg straight of the mark and the best benches given are usually one press only and you need a spotter for those.

If you want to test real strength, try and bench 80kg 25 reps 4sets, no spotter.

Goddard was benching 80kg in his second year of a very low mark the year before

fella's, Bucks and J Clement bench 165 each, and Gherig's 1 bench max is 172.5...

i would be suprised if leon has reached 160 but about 140-145 sounds close to being right i would think...

f gehrig can do round 175 ..bucks 155 and tazza around bucks

no idea about what tazza bench's. but i am going on a news-paper release last year that stated each clubs highest bench... and clement and bucks were both at 165, but clearly they wouldnt be doing any reps at that weight.. so its probably an unrealistic figure

Those guys are pretty big.

I wouldn't be suprised if they got out a few reps at that weight. Not high reps, but i doubt it's their 1 rep max.

yeah i think they would have to do at least 5 for the weight to be registerd i would imagine

i have seen a few clubs gettin around in the gym and not just afl but also nrl. these nos would be either 1 effort lifts (1RM) or estimated values of depending on the players training age (years lifting weights) and the programming requirements of the club.

nrl guys are usually all at or above 140 give or take up to 15kg. but you need to know that they're usually shorter, may have shorter arms blah blah scientific reasons a plenty.

as long as the pies are strong and functional we are all happy. leave the egos and the beach weights alone

Taz would only just be stronger than Bucks.

I'd say they'd bench a similar amount.

Bucks has a stronger chest, but Taz has stronger arms
