Footy fans - especially Bulldog Supporters - are polarised in their views about where their club is headed. Some back their team in any situation, many switch views like the wind, while others express consistent fury and disbelief.
I have created a 10-point scale to give Bigfooty Bulldog people the opportunity to see where you fit in, on the Doggies' Spectrum. Simply write the number that best describes your feelings and for those who love an explanation, tell us WHY! At the end of the season, I will calculate the ratings to see what the average feeling is about the club and it's prospects.
0. I am totally disillusioned by the entire club - the players, the coaching staff and the Administration. We will never win another premiership and the future is bleak, unless you are a collector of wooden spoons. As we speak, I am microvawing my membership and burning anything red, white and blue.
1. Unless there is some immediate and drastic changes, I fear that our club is doomed as a laughing stock of the competition. We are both irrelevant and unthreatening in any way.
2. Despite a few decent young players and aging veterans, the club is going nowhere and will sadly continue to languish at the base of the ladder for the foreseeable future.
3. We are simply a low performing club. The list and plans suggest that we are in for more pain ahead and I can't see us being more than a lower mid-ladder team, simply making up the numbers.
4. We are inconsistent and although I am sometimes injected with some hope, I have that aching feeling that a let down is always imminent. Despite being a proud supporter, I can't see us achieving anything meaningful with the current setup.
5. The jury is out. I am neither able to confidently predict success or failure, so will sit back and watch it unfold, hoping for the best.
6. I recognise the hard work and improvement and feel optimistic that we are heading in the right direction, close to challenging for a finals birth.
7. I am excited by the many aspects of the club and the development we are seeing. I can see us playing finals this year and beyond to silencing the critics. We need to rediscover that intensity and then, look out!
8. I feel that we are on the verge of something very special. Growth is abundantly evident and we are about to seriously click into action and explode as a major contender very shortly.
9. We are the coming: Beware the Bulldogs, our premiership window is open and it is merely a matter of time before we take another flag. We need to buy a bigger trophy cabinet, because sustained success is what I see at our doorstep!
10. It's premiership time. I am euphoric in every way about our list, the blueprint, our coach, all decisions, and can't see us losing another game.
