Are you a draft Guru?

Will you lead your team to Premiership glory? Or will you consign it to the depths for years to come? How good is your list management, scouting and drafting skills all in one? Do you have inside words on the other teams plans?

Just a random game I thought of the other day. No rewards, no prizes, no badges. All in the name of fun.

Apologies in advance for leaving it a little late.

It's pretty simple really. Its basically everyone's mock drafts for the entire first 20 picks. But with points attached to them. The person with the most points, thus most accurate mock draft will be declared the winner, and the Draft Guru for 2019. There will also be some bonus points on offer.

Below is the draft order, and the points each pick is worth

1 - Gold Coast - 5 Points
2 - Gold Coast - 5 Points
3 - Melbourne - 5 Points
4 - GWS - 5 Points
5 - Sydney - 5 Points
6 - Adelaide - 10 Points
7 - Fremantle - 10 Points
8 - Fremantle - 10 Points
9 - Carlton - 10 Points
10 - Melbourne - 10 Points
11 - Hawthorn - 15 Points
12 - Port Adelaide - 15 Points
13 - Western Bulldogs - 15 Points
14 - Geelong - 15 Points
15 - Gold Coast - 15 Points
16 - Port Adelaide - 20 Points
17 - Geelong - 20 Points
18 - Port Adelaide - 20 Points
19 - Richmond - 20 Points
20 - Gold Coast 20 Points

To compensate for Academy and Father Son bids, if say Demons bid on McHenry with 10, and Fremantle matches and moves up to Pick 10. Then your selection for the Demons will still count the same, as for the team after and so forth. It's more so guessing who each team will pick up with their selection, instead of basing it strictly on that specific pick number. Else everyone's draft will become obsolete after pick 10. And the points valuation will stay the same.

BONUS POINTS

10 Points for correctly guessing which team bids on who at which pick number. Example, say you predict Port bid on Finn Maginness with Pick 16, and Hawthorn matches, you get 10 points. No points given for guessing the player, because its all pretty much obvious

25 Points for guessing who the Bulldogs select with Pick 53

40 Points for guessing who the Bulldogs select with Pick 78

No submissions accepted after 7:00pm on Wednesday Night. Neither will any posts that have been "edited" after this time either.

So post your 20 pick mock drafts below. Along with your Academy and FS predictions. And a guess at who the Bulldogs will select with their final two picks in the draft.

Perhaps the winner could then post us next weeks lottery numbers as well.

Care to let us in on who traded what for what? It's hard to know whether you are allowing for a trade or just made a mistake!

Pick 78-ish - upgrade Roarke Smith

Would be sad to see McAsey exiled to South Australia
Hopefully he gets home sick and wants to come home in a couple of years :p That way if we land a small forward in this draft, we are only a true winger away from a balanced team :D Wishful thinking though

Just so everyone knows. Incase of any live trades occurring during the draft. If say Geelong moves up to Carltons pick. And the Blues get two early picks in return. Those picks will no longer count in the scores, but the other 17 attached to the clubs will. Which I'm sure was pretty obvious to most, but to save for confusion later
