This thread was originally 'Bulldogs Who Played in Long Sleeves' but on the excellent suggestion of Freshwater have changed the title and hope to have people contribute any thoughts on our jumpers past or present.

Here is one player with long sleeves I was thinking of - founding member of the Mangarook Footy Show

Brad Hardie also wore long sleeves and i am noticing a very
disturbing trend, there is a lot of ugly portly gingers who
done the long sleeves to hide their shame.;)

Note- Are redheads sensitive to the cold or is it a quasi
security blanket.

How long do you need Axe? Half a second.

(I've probably butchered that quote but that's how I remember it - great book).

I'll go out on a limb and say I actually prefer that version of the jumper for long sleeves.

I've still got one. It's ummm very tight fit these days. Has #22 on it. Sourced from the club. I was told it was Whitten Jnr's.

"Billy" Kolyniuk wore one at times too.

In wet weather I loved the long sleeves. They got heavy (remember Ye old woollen jumpers ?), but I always felt they stopped the wet ball slipping out from a chest mark ( overhead marking wasn't my go..lol).

My Year 7 class gave me a Brad Hardie jumper for my birthday in 1985. It was short sleeved. A Richmond supporting student organised it.:D
