That would be a good move for the Doggies.

I'm surprised clubs don't name assistants at the head coach more often. After all they do have first hand knowledge about the team and play a key role in strategies, interchanges etc.

I was getting the feeling Royal would get the job because he was a club hero and a good bloke, rather than the right person for the job.

Ahh, like Collingwood did with Tony Shaw, which took us through a very dark time in our club's history.
