We are a month away from the second women's match for 2015 between the Demons and the Bulldogs.

The match will be played from approx. 12.30pm on Sunday, 16th August as a curtain-raiser to the men's match at Etihad Stadium (Docklands).

Both sides are permitted to de-list up to six players each prior to the mid-season mini-draft that will take place next Wednesday, 22nd July.

Website [NB: girlsplayfooty domain has been taken over by spammer.] is this week listing some of the players that could get drafted next Wednesday.

Article Two: http://www.[NB: girlsplayfooty doma...2015/07/countdown-to-mini-draft-part-two.html

Melbourne must pick at least one player, after Cecilia McIntosh sustained a serious knee injury on the MCG during the 1st exhibition game of 2015, which rules her out until season 2016.

She has also been filming her road to recovery from that ACL injury.

The Demons will also be hosting an All-Girls AusKick Clinic on Saturday, 15th August.
It will be from 10am at Gosch's Paddock, is FREE and will feature all of Melbourne's women's team.

I went early to watch the women's match last time. I'll do it again. It was really good fun - some real contests even in spite of the scoreboard.

Seriously, encourage everyone to go. You won't regret it

The fourth and final preview article of the series is now online:

Also, there's a 'Phantom Draft' on whom the Dees and the Dogs might take:

The mini-draft itself will be conducted around lunchtime tomorrow.

I'm really looking forward to this, the girls always put on a good show. It's great that it's getting bigger every year, this time with two matches and channel seven actually broadcasting one

Plus our women's team is awesome usually against the bulldogs one

With the second AFL women's exhibition match coming up this Sunday, a reminder that you can buy general admission tickets to see both the men's and women's matches at Etihad Stadium for only $15.

Just go to the ticketing section on the MFC website before 5pm Wednesday to get your discounted tickets.

If you end up enjoying the women's match and want to follow some of these women locally, below is an article listing (in each state) which state league game these women will be playing the weekend after the exhibition match.

Do home and Away members still need to buy a ticket to the women's match? Also is that price available at the gate or only via the website?

From my reading of the MFC website, Home and Away members should already be covered. The discount applies before 5pm Wednesday via the club's website. If in doubt, I'd suggest emailing the MFC directly.
