The team that can't win when it travels lost against the team that doesn't travel.

Sounds about right
Spot on. Can't put much weight on that win when they just got home by 9 points against a team who doesn't win in Vic.

Nevertheless, the splooge fest continues!

Dogs were better today for most of the game and deserved the win. We just seem so soft around the ball sometimes, teams just bounce off and break our tackles with ease. Major problems there. Some very iffy and punishing calls that didn't make the job easy that caused some major frustration on my end. How the hell do you miss that push in the back in the first quarter or the unrealistic attempt by Stringer?

Personal peeve is constant mentions of the brave Doggies with Wood being out, then amazement at the Dogs forwards yet not a mention of McGovern being a late out. Hame is such a turd.

And the same Bigfooty posters are bitter!

I'm quite happy to keep winning while we have some important players sitting on the pine and playing some average footy. Bodes well for when they come back :thumbsu:
Appreciate the concern.

Absolutely kissed on the dick. 3 goals in the first half assisted by the umps was the difference.
Eagles had their chances, but couldn't kick well enough out of their back half in the last 4 minutes.
Can't blame the umps for bad kicking in the clutch.
Or their best forward been given a bath by a first year player.

Shame, I thought the intensity was there. Much improved.
Beaten by a better side.
Upside is you probably won't be playing at Etihad come September.

Better than a 40 point loss but disappointing when a couple of dodgy frees or non calls make the difference. Campbell's goal in the first after a clear push in the back and the stiff butler deliberate come to mind.

Oh we definitely had the chances to win but if you take out the 3 umpire assisted goals in the first half and the unrealistic attempt by stringer in the second half how do the scores line up?

Stringer turned 720 in a tackle and still gets to play on? Another charity joke for the #freemorebulldogs

720??? Ha ha don't let the truth get in the way....

Anyway they never pay those as HTB - if the tackle doesn't ****** the player in any way shape or form, provided you dispose of it correctly it is play on.

Well we know that is a rarity with the bulldogs too.

west coast will beat the crows in perth next week and they will be contenders again
Pyke invented the 'weagles web' so theres a chance we'd drop the game as he'd know the weaknesses as well as the Crows being a decent team also.

If we lose tho it will be the only loss at home we'll have this yr.

Umps definitely the difference, the smashing in contested ball had nothing to do with the result.

Unfortunately games don't work like that - it's a very simplistic view.
If one of the frees wasn't paid, the play after that would have been different to the one that actually eventuated, and the outcome different.

Fact is when the game was on the line in the final five minutes, Nic Nat missed a mark he should have taken n the forward 50, Kennedy was invisible, LeCras missed a chance to get your team within a kick of winning and your players couldn't effectively kick the ball past centre.
Can't blame the umpires for any of that.
