Robert Sainsbury with his 1935 jumper, and two familiar faces for a heritage round many years ago.

The 1935 jumper was a one-off. The club got them made up (Alby Morrison as captain-coach even introduced the players to the Gov-General before a game in that strip), but at the end of the season, the whole lot got damaged when being washed or cleaned, so 1936 saw the hoops come back.

There's a 1935 Hoadleys Confectionery collector cards set with this strip, features Norm Ware and Alby Morrison, amongst others.
I like that style :)

On a cold and wet day in Round 17, 1984, we had quite a few in long sleeves:

Doug Hawkins
Nigel Kellett
Steve Wallis
John Bennett
Neil Cordy
Jim Sewell

For those who were cold at the MCG the other week, this was one that I remember vividly.

Cold, wet and losing by 2 pts. Seven goals total for the game. Who says footy was better in the old days

Anyone know who this long sleeved number 24 is watching EJ take a tumble? Perhaps Jack Slattery during the early 1960s? Or possibly Jim Gallagher?

The only time we would have played Hawthorn at the G would have been the 61 grand final so it would have to have been Slattery
