Bullying condoned by AFL

It staggers me that in 2021, the AFL still perpetuates bullying.
Paddy was clearly being niggled by the opposition player, so when he retaliates everyone goes ape s**t and he gets a 5 week ban.
The bully (opposition player) walks away scot free.
What message is this sending to kids?
Time to take a stand and stamp all forms of bullying.
If you want to be a tough guy, beat your opposing player with skill!!

Spot on, black & white case of bullying .... surely the AFL should hsve a bullying division of psychs to ensure the children aren't frightened, sponsored by by the PC police.

When footy was just a game, niggling and mind games were fine. Even saying things that would be a breach of the racial discrimination act, sexual discrimination act etc etc..............as they probably weren't even adopted at that point

However footy is now a place of employment. You simply can't behave in a manner of bullying in the work place!

Before anyone jumps in with "but it's part of the game"............you can't even do this in war, so why do people think it's OK in any place of work?
