Has anyone here tried that new Burgermeister from McDonalds? Its discusting! I had one the other day and threw it out after one bite. It smells Aweful! And the bun was stale I think. The meat looked like it was effected by Mad Cows disease, and the coleslaw on it was yucky too.

Has anyone else noticed the foul smell of the burgermeister?

If you want good burgers - go to Burger King (not Hungry Jacks). There is one near filders Street Station. They are nice. Burgermeisters are discusting!

Wha..??? Burger King???

If you want a friggen Burger, a half decent fish and chip shop will fix you up with something better than any fast food outlet!!!

PS: Burger King and Hungry Jacks are exactly the same thing!

Hey Cats2001 - why didn't you tell them how disgusting it was and ask for a refund or at least some freebie food vouchers.

If you make a fuss in front of other customers they have no option but to offer you freebies! :D

McDonalds burgers are shit:o Theyre dry and after youve had them once you just get sick of them.

The Whoppers at Hungry Jacks are nice and Red Roosters chicken and their burgers arent bad.

But, the best place for fast food has gotta be Subway. You get to choose whatever you want in the sub while they make it in front of you and the subs Ive had have been beautiful(chicken fillet with the lot).... Only problem is they try to stooge you into spending more money by buying an extra drink and stuff when its already in the meal. (The one off Flinders St does anyway:D )

...and its fat free:)

I went to a place in Hobart called Body Food that does low-fat hamburgers. Same price as Maccas and much nicer 'cos there not cooked in fat. The guy said that hes opening on the main land soon. If you see it buy it.

Geeze this thread is making me hungry.

For what its worth I enjoy the Mcoz burger from Mcdonalds and the Aussie Burger from Hungry Jack's. Also my local fish 'n' chip does a good hamburger as well.

no actually assjam youre wrong yet again...burger king and hungry jacks are not the same thing in australia...

i know they are in the us..but in aust burger king is a whole new meal deal..

no i dont flip burgers there...but am involved with an advertising agency that are about to start a campaign for them..

Smokin Joe's on Mt Alexander Rd Moonee Ponds make the best hamburgers!

Gotta agree with you there F.J.D. - and they're cheap too!

Hungry Jack's does not exist in the States. They are all Burger Kings. And they are generally the same, although we put this crap on our fries that are supposed to make them crunchy, but it makes them stringy and bland.

Shame you don't have Hardee's, Culver's, and Wendy's (a hamburger chain, not the ice cream
shop), which are all vastly superior. My Aussie partner can attest to that.

Apparently New Zealand has our Wendy's now.

Sydney has Taco Bells (not that I'd ever eat at one of those either, blecchh).

The commercial for Burgermeister is a hoot though don't you think ?

As for the actual product - ummm, if you are dumb enough to eat anything from that truly evil global corpprate empire then you deserve everything that is coming to you.

cheers

Calling me assjam only serves to display to the world your homoerotic fantasies, you Spandex wearing monument to 80's mullets!

Let me fill you in with the details. Hungry Jacks won the court case against Burger King, as Burger King wanted to take over the HJ franchise. The decision means that Hungry Jacks and Burger King will be trading separately.

However, Hungry Jacks will still be paying a licence fee to Burger King so that they can serve exactly the same product!!!!!

Two separate entities, exactly the same food, which is precisely what I meant and therefore I was not even remotely wrong!

Also there are no Hungry Jacks in the US you clown, so it is you who is wrong yet again !!!

Burgermeister

After reading all your posts, I have to agree with most of you that Burgers from fish and chip shops are the best.

There is on near us and you can get a chicken fillit burger for just $2.50, and its 1000 times as filling as a big mac. Its fresh, there is 2 huge chicken fillits in there and there is heaps of fresh salad. For just an extra $1.50, you get a whole bag of the nicest, crispyest chips ever. They make there chips by cutting potatoes - not from birds eye.

And I also agree about Subway. The best fast-food restaurant you can go to for lunch. Only problem with is - ITS TOO EXPENSIVE! Over $6 for a sub? Dont get me wrong, its filling, healthy and I love it - but its a bit prisey.

PS - I JUST LOVE THOSE SUBWAY COOKIES! How bout you?

I went to St.John's/Chisholm College in Braybrook between 1987-92, and if there's any former students out there in BigFootyland (and I know there is at least one!), they will probably also swear on their life that the tuck shop's chicken burgers were absolutely magnificent! From memory they were about $1.50 and friggen huge.

cough, cough...Im sorry to bring more than a smidge of reality to you Ass-jam but if you wish to go down to any of the new Burger King stores around Melbourne you will see that menu's items and everything are quite different from Hungry Jacks. No whoppers!

maybe some investigation before you blurt totally wrong info might be a good idea next time..

:D

stand corrected...AGAIN !

Had my first Burgermeister this evening, and I must say they aren't bad at all. Very similar to European schnitzels as the ad suggests, and just the right amount of letucey/coleslawy shit on top. The bun was good too.
Usually I'm not one for eating pork, but Macca's have done a decent job of making it taste OK. Probably give it 6.5 out of 10, so I wouldn't think it's something they could market after the novelty of the promotion wears off.

$2.50? Is this thread from 2001 or 1951?
