Myth.

They did "not" occur on one single day, the fires had been burning long before in the leadup, and long after just like now.
The fires were so significant a name was given for the most "catastrophic day" The current NSW and Vic fires had no catastrophic day, hence why they will always be known as the 2019/20 season.

Black Friday for example had very similar dates from the first small early November, to the first of the medium fires in December increasing in size leading up to the named day ( black friday 13th jan ) as the current East Gippsland fires 29th Dec.

Black Friday temperatures
43.8 °C (110.8 °F) on 8 January and 44.7 °C (112.5 °F) on 10 January. On 13 January, the day of the fires, temperatures reached 45.6 °C (114.1 °F),

Ps, I also live in the bush.

The damage did, hence the way they are known by the name of the day they happened.

Which I made clear several posts before that.

And as your figures show these fires are unprecedented for NSW.

If you live in the bush and spend this much time talking shit about fires then I hope you actually are a member of the CFA or whatever it is where you live.

It's like comparing the 39 sawmills lost in the 1939 Black Friday fires compared to zero sawmills lost in 2019/20.
Times and circumstances change,.

Ferball is obviously a greenie with an agenda, but I will give him credit as he actually fights fires,

Take Victoria in isolation when using the word "unprecedented"

Current 2019/2020 East Gippsland and High Country bushfires, 5 fatalities, 396 homes lost.

Compare it to...

2009 Black Saturday, 173 fatalities and 2056 homes lost

1983 Ash Wednesday, 47 fatalities 2080 homes lost (plus 28 fatalities South Australia)

1939 Black Friday, 71 fatalities, 1,300 homes and 69 sawmills lost, , 3,700 buildings were destroyed or damaged

1898 Red Tuesday, 12 fatalities, 2000 homes lost. 2500 homeless.

1851 Black Thursday 12 fatalities.

Unprecedented????
You complain about the Greenie agenda like you don't have one.

Your agenda seems to be that you want people to dismiss this fire season as not that bad and by extension dismiss the idea that climate change is impacting our bushfire seasons.

So really this is coming back you being a climate change denier and not liking the fact that not everyone agrees with you.

I'm not a climate change denier, the climte is warming, what I object to is the hysteria from the likes of yourself proclaiming this current bushfire season is "unprecedented" when its clearly not.,

Is it man made ?
Did Climate change have anything to do with the fires ?

You're taking a very narrow view of why people are saying this season was so bad
You're actively fighting against the idea that this was a bad season
You're actively fighting against the idea that climate change was at all responsible
You're picking fights with greenies and never answer direct questions on climate change

You day you're not a denier when asked but everything else you post on here doesn't back that up

And as usual you're still trying to pick a fight ;)

Not avoiding them. I just find them repetitive and irrelevant.
So greenies have an agenda and they are lying about the fires but your motivation and view on that agenda is irrelevant?

Given your posting on the topic I think it's pretty relevant, perhaps if you answered the questions people would stop asking you to.

If you're not interested in actually engaging on the topic and just want a soap box probably time to move on from the thread

Maybe you should also move on from this thread.

Yeah just turned it on and that last band was horrible. Worst sound I've ever heard. Puking duk is shit.

I would say their success over the last couple of years blows your last sentence out of the park. Don’t have to like their sound, but they’re not shit.

Yeah have watched from the start, loving it! Grinspoon my highlight so far
Funnily enough was chatting to my bro yesterday about the BDO in 2000 and watching Phil absolutely SPACED , glad he sorted himself out.

What a programming stuff up by CH7.
Alice Cooper banished to 7mate during the news, then someone called Amy Shark comes on straight after the news.
She's average at best, and Alice Cooper was awesome.
Gill should should be back stage right now booking him for the Granny.
Amy Shark is a lot more popular with the millennials, which I assume they’re targeting in this time slot

Yeah he used to be a mess, seems a bit more tame these days. They’re playing next Friday night for the V8s as well.

More would have wanted to see Alice Cooper by a mile, plus she wasn't more popular at the concert, the crowd were going right off with Alice Cooper, it was a great set, her's was dull.
