Buying a Laptop - suggestions...

I have a HP laptop that I use for Civ 4 (Beyond the Sword), I purchased it for work about 3 years ago. It gets hot after about 10 minutes of use, excellent for use in winter. Although I got paranoid that the radiation might give me testicular cancer so I no longer use it on my lap.

The inbuilt Beats speakers, which have since been rebranded with an update, distort Leonard Nimoy's voice in a reasonable way.

3.5 pig irons out of 10.

Maybe it's your testicles that are making the laptop hot?

I am serious... but the watching pr0n bit isn't a major selling point for it.

It's Probably the cheapest thing that will do the things that you said you wanted to do. But I don't own one, so I can't really say, sorry

She plays Cities Skylines, which needs a little bit of grunt, and it works great on this.

Don't buy one of those flimsy "half tablet" things.

School let me keep it when I finished, absolute piece of s**t now, despite having half decent internet speeds it takes 30 seconds to load a single page and is a general pain in the arse to use.

I ended up just getting a Samsung TabA from Telstra.. decided my old s**t box laptop still did what was required of it

Pretty good actually. Played for about an hour and ran smoothly.

Ask me again in summer when it's full of viruses...
