The Coach has 12 players to Coach that weren't running around in 2016.
Yes so he is doing to them what he did to the others last year . This guy can't coach for shit we gave up leads like this before with the older players and we are doing it again . Whether it's older or the current crop the coach is the same .

It doesn't make it right Gas. Also consider how often have we come back from 5 goals down? The last Essendon Elimination Final comes to mind. Any others? :stern look
Who said it's right?

It's a reality.

You just gave another example of a blown lead.

Geelong late last year came back in a last quarter to kick 10 something goals and win.

I don't know why you are all so surprised.

The speed of the game has changed in 5 years to make running over leads a reality.

The thing is, we are consistently getting over run after being 5 goals in front.

It's now a habit.

As we saw from 2013, it's an extremely difficult one to break.

Way to miss the point. How often have "We" come back when trailing by 5 goals in a game? :stern look

Most of those 12 are players who have been on the list for several years, and have been a part of the training group, part of match simulations etc. Simpkin and Williams are the only players new to the club.
And The Rat.

There's not even 12 guys new to the club. Plus Scott has development coaches to assist with the young guys, and rookie listed players
But I agree. Just because you're not playing AFL doesn't mean you're not experienced. Guys are still playing VFL and still learning roles and structures. Sure the pace will be higher at AFL than VFL but the new guys to the 22 have been training with AFL players so they should no what to expect. The only exception is Jy and he's going ok.

North is 4-15 in games decided by a goal or less under Brad Scotts. In 9 of those games we have held 20 plus point leads at significant stages of the game. Speaks volumes of how the team performs under the hammer.
I'd argue that we have a lot of blokes with the character to be able to perform under that sort of pressure,

However, confidence was lost in the initial losses and then we were fed the spin

-we know how to change it
- we've identified the problem
-we will get out on the track and try our hardest

Yardayaddayadda

They are conditioned to losing the close ones because brad doesn't have the ability to change the tempo/style because of the culture he has started.

Good on the players for buying in and being shown a way to play footy. You need these blokes above them to be coaching them to be mini coaches on the ground. To be the architects and set the standards. It's as though brad hid them early days and now the lads are happy for him to continue to hide them.

Look at the teams who have won flags recently other than the bulldogs.
Onfield leadership in spades. Coaches who set the tone and standard high, not only teachers but managers, motivators and manipulators.

Unfortunately brad is just a teacher, and not a great one at that.

Get rid of Ben Buckley?

How the **** does that enter your mind?
It enters my mind because a number of posters have described the board as "weak", "stupid", and "gutless", among other labels.

The brunt of these criticisms seems to be the perceived failure of the club's ultimate decision-makers to realise the undeniable truths (so the critics say) that not only is Brad Scott a poor coach, but his coaching has been the cause of our recent losses.

Ergo, we should not just sack the coach, but also get rid of the person who runs the board. That's the line of thinking as I follow it. I may well have misunderstood it, of course.

Who knows one day we might get an insight into how the coaches box reacts to shifts in momentum...we obviously get the vision of whats happening on the ground. Interesting to see if the coaches immediately jump to plan C, identify the hot spot and immediately collaborate on a solution or look at each other and listen to the crickets!
