I don't agree with the assumption that LT'Ss forward pressure is irreplacable. I think it quite replacable. The inclusions of Garner and Turner have made him somewhat redundant in his current form and as
naturally north has stated above the current balance in the forward line contains too many of a similar ilk which impacts upon rotations. A proper mid rotation would be a better option than LT at the minute IMO.
Spitz is sacrificing on ball time so the call to replace him with a pure outside type is redundant and not what i would propse. A player who can chop out inside but link the lines too is required and i believe that with Higgins in there as well as say a Clarke would go a way to alleviate that. Unfortunately the use of Cunners and Dumont as two primary contested mids has made Swallow a round peg sqaure hole and we shouldn't have to sacrifice to shoehorn him in.
And JZ, yep, needs to be utilised differently but we can only do that by having options that can, again, play both in and out.
Playing out of form/out of role players does us no good in the short or long term, especially when we have options running around at VFL level who are showing form and have attributets that can be just as if not weven more effective. I think the coach is still showing that he is too emotionally invested in individuals and as a consequence the team is out of balance and suffering.
