Ok thread has a lost control.

A bit of mass debate about Brad is meant to be constructive or at least funny but a few posters tonight need to have a bit of a think about what they're putting out there.

For that reason the bar is closed for the night. Sober up and come back tomorrow.

Doors open. Play nice.
If that is the concern you have & you do not like peoples opinions within this thread, then the best thing you can do is delete the thread, as I do not feel much is going to change. Like it or not, even myself, I do not agree or like a lot of comments, but I do certainly respect every-ones right to comment, be it right, be it wrong, I suggest most do care, and they do need to be able to vent their concerns and/or frustrations somewhere, and this thread is the only place where they can have a say or vent their frustration. Again, rightly or wrongly, we all have a reason for saying or doing, providing no-one gets hurt.
Remember:
People are passionate, specially about this issue
People have opinions
People have suggestions
People also have a right to 'Free Speech'.

We have the expectation that people will discuss the issue at hand, therefore exercising their free speech, without becoming abusive or aggressive towards each other. We won't be deleting the thread as it's a valid point of discussion, but we do expect people to follow the rules of the forum. It's not a difficult concept to understand, given that the majority of discussions on other threads in this forum adhere to the rules and don't spiral into complete disaster once every three days.

Wrong.

You have no rights. Shut up and buy a bigfooty membership.

The mods were correct in shutting it down. Last night got out of hand very quickly. It's all fun and games until someone's looking at arden and his wife through the living room window.

As the mods above have already said, it's not hard to stick to the forum rules - there is even a stickied rules thread by FG for reference.

A variety of opinions will always surface, but it's the abuse, threats, language and other unsavoury behaviours that are not wanted.

Appreciated though it is, it was Lidge first, then TOD, who were strongest on those rules. We simply do our best to continue to ensure people are sticking by them.

As I explained to Arden on his front lawn at the time, I was looking for mushrooms and I happened to look up. ;)

Quivorir and Phillyroo would understand.

How this is allowed to happen!

one of Four things, either:
1) the coach isn't teaching the players what to do indifferent game situations
2) the players aren't listening to the coach
3) the players are listening but refusing to follow
4) Players just ****** up.

If its 1, 2 or 3 the coach has to go.

If its 4 then were in for a lot more pain with some stupid footballers leading the team.

Totally agree with you there. My original reply was meant to be General, not agreeing with all posts/replies. In hind-site maybe I should have clarified using the words you have just used above.

I will also assume that any unsavoury posts will still continue, and will still upset people, there will always be thin-skinned & thick-skinned readers.

To mods - Is it possible that posts/replies can be screened before publishing?

Regards

It was interesting to hear what Chris Scott said when he was asked by Robbo about the tactics of the game against St Kilda. He mentioned that when it got to the fourth quarter, he barely made any tactical moves and it was all his players work. His leaders made their own moves. Why can't our players take control??

Jacks not a captains arsehole?

Players need to be coached as to what to do, then you can empower them to make the right decisions at the right time.

Because a lot of our players lack footy smarts and lack composed decision making under pressure.
