Just remember, we did most things right today, and this is a very coachable group, and it will be easy to fix!

The nightmares continue!

Rubbish call for Scott to go - players were responsible today and last week. Unfortunately it's part of the painful learning curve we're going through.

Spot on - some onfield leadership is sorely lacking in the final minutes of tight games - Geelong, Hawthorn, West Coast and again today - with a bit more steeliness we would have those four.

If that had happened we'd be sitting 7-2 inside the top four and Scott would be lauded as a genius.

In all honesty I think we're two quality players short of making the grade this year.
Who are they learning from? What did we learn from last week? We continue to make the same mistakes. Of course young players with talent are going to get better but too many players are lost when games have to be iced. With 4 minutes to go Ling was saying we should treating it like a training run and working time off the clock. It's obvious that our guys aren't being drilled to deal with the situations that keep presenting themselves. Scott has done nothing to develop the TEAM , he is riding in the back of a couple of talented lads that bust their guts.

Brad Scott needs to learn to stop being so calm about the situation and say "Oh, we are improving we are playing more competitive footy, we just have a few things we need to correct from our past mistakes to make sure they dont happen again"

DUDE TEACH YOUR FUDGING TEAM TO STOP THE OTHER TEAM FROM HOLDING MOMENTUM AND BE A LITTLE HARDER ON YOUR PLAYERS

MAJAK DAW YOU RAN AROUND THE FIELD LIKE A BIG GALLOOF TODAY GO BACK TO VFL( HE AINT READY FOR AFL )

I think I know why NMFC has such a small supporter base, most supporters/members ejaculate prematurely. We should be very proud of our team, we are creating history this season.

First team ever to start the season 1-4 and with a percentage above 100. And we didn't play Melbourne or GWS which make it an even more extraordinary achievement.

First team since 1926 to lose 4 games in the first nine rounds by under a goal.

Be proud everybody.

I'm pretty pissed off too but sacking him is a bit over the top. Win a few of those tight games and he is our hero. We are very close to being a very good side.

Worst coach ever. Way worse than Spud Frawley or Tony Shaw.

He develops the kids well though. Not to mention he is a good PR person for the club.

He has not learnt or changed a thing in 3 years. Teams still just go coast to coast at will and get behind our defenders. Either the back 6 is the worst ever or the structures are the worst ever.

We would 1st on the ladder with JYD as coach. He never lost the close one's coz he understood that defending wins games.

Wow. What a joke. What more does he need to do. His plans are getting us into positions to win games. Its the players fault they cant cope with pressure. FFS. He put a player down back, told them to shut it down. Bunch of ******* clowns after a loss sometimes.
Exactly, easy to blame the coach but it's the players fault. 2 weeks in a row all we have had to do was look for easy options with less then a minute to go. No one is providing any options and the coach cannot be blames for that.

Don't think he should be sacked right now but his reluctance to enforce hard standards appears stark.

There are several blokes who are locks for spots and often get coaches' praise who routinely don't run to present options, don't close in on opponents in 1 on 1s, don't stick tackles, don't run defensively etc...

We're soft.

Or it might just take longer then a week to learn from a mistake. But hey lets overreact, let's sack everyone in charge of teaching the players.

The improvement in the team is easy to see, just need to fix this close game loss issue(which will happen, just be patient) and we we be a very very good side.

Too many of these that will be dropped off at morning tea at Aegis Park tomorrow.

Nah, not everyone.

See ya Crocker and Fruity.

I'm sick of the "we're improving," "we'll learn from these mistakes" crap. The plain truth is there's not another team in the land that would've lost from the position we were in today. Again. For the FOURTH time in nine weeks! No, something is amiss, and it threatens to become an endemic loser-club cancer if not fixed pronto. On 3aw post-match, Sanderson repeatedly said he couldn't believe they won, and that "if they were smarter" North would've won. For heaven's sake, they needed three goals in four minutes to win! I repeat, NO other team would have conceded those three goals.

**** off Scott
2013 was always a chance of one step back to take two steps forward , it sucks but i dont want to go back to ladlieys days of being reactive .Proactive is much better, the younger players will learn and grow this is but just a hick up.

Melbourne...whoops...they wouldnt be in a winning position.

Hawthorn seem to do it against geelong quite a bit. Sydney Drew a game last week when they were up by 4 goals with 15 minutes to go.

It does happen, it hurts more because of how often it has happened this year.

What horseshit. Losing these games doesn't magically give you some springboard to be better next year.

Dean Laidley teams closed out their ****ing close games. I'm getting tired of the shit heaped on him lately.

The bloke coached with no administration supporting him, constant innuendo, 3rd world budgets and facilities and no club direction. Still got his team into the finals 3 times and won plenty along the way.

Brad can show something more than a nice turn of phrase and one string of wins before we start hooking JYD.

I'm having a quiet beer and watching Storm hurt the Roosters, I felt very sorry for supporters today. Old lady behind me nearly brained me with her flag as she tossed it away. We will be back. We just need to say sorry to Shinboner.

Sacking him isn't going to happen so forget that.

Whatever he is saying to the group about playing games out just isn't getting through and I don't think he coached well today. But once the rot set in today there was little he could do. I'm hurting as much as anyone but.....ahhh who gives a shit?

A seriously underrated coaching performance from a bloody good bloke who just loves the club.

Always a fan, is me.
