The overt implication in your email is that North members aren't willing to be members but only do so to relieve some of the financial burden on the club. Where is your proof of this? When was I "forced" to take out membership? What a load of steaming....! As usual you have to invent scenarios to bolster your lameass arguments. We're impressed though...we really are.
The "proof" is that North have a small supporter base, but a large membership. Not too difficult to understand, really. Are you going to tell me they don't have a small supporter base? Compared to some of the other clubs, it is tiny.
If you want me to prove that they buy memberships because the club is in finacial trouble, I can't prove this. You'd have to survey every member and ask them.
But it doesn't take a genius to work out that Hawthorn, the Bulldogs and North have large memebrships relative to their supporter bases. It doesn't take a genius to work out that these three clubs have had their survival threatened in the last 5 years.
So, therefore, it doesn't take a genius to work out that a large number of these supporters but a membership to help their club financially. Essendon and Carlton supporters are less likey to buy a membership for financial reasons, because the future of those clubs is secured.
Why in the f*ck is this blatantly obvious point creating such debate??????
