The team as a whole doesn't tackle enough and our pressure is nowhere near where it needs to be.

Even applying maximum pressure and tackling like your life depended on it would be a start.

The way teams just walk out of our 50 is embarrassing.
alleluia ! Agree 100% This is exactly the minimum thing to start with … tackling & pressure! This creates momentum , doubt & rush the opposition into turnover. That’s all I ask . You don’t have to have skill , be a top 4 side to do this !
If u have players unable to tackle or pressure & are scared of their own shadow… then drop them !

End it now …
There is a petition started already. I was outside gate 5 today & people were signing.
“ get rid of Clarko “
Sonia will have it on Monday @ 9am
Who’s signed ? Come on have the balls MF ?!! Half of u aren’t probably members?!!FFS
If this is fair dinkum, those involved should be relieved that I exited via a different gate.

Had have I seen this ultra-nuffery, it would have been stopped with immediate and stern haste.

Sonia must just laugh at some of the 'supporters'. Complete crabs.

Every club that has turned things around has had stability. We had stability under Scott as well, haven't had it since.
Blues went from Malthouse to Bolton to Teague to Vossy. Tigers held firm with Hardwick.
I'm not sure a young coach can wear the hits from the media during this rough period and which next coach would take the job if the club is reactive and goes away from the plan and sacks Clarko.
Let Clarko see out the contract. He'll put his hand up if he's not up for it and a succession plan could be put in place.
He's got modern assistants around him that he always delegated responsibility to throughout his time at Hawthorn.
I just don't buy that he's out of touch with the modern game, he'd be scouting the best teams and seeing what they are doing.
He does need to get better effort and pressure out of them, that I can agree on but the defensive system will take some time to take shape.

He’s lost the players mate. Bull & LDU are walking & 1 more big name to go TBC

Surely the softly softly coaching approach needs to be reviewed at this point? I get that we have a lot of kids but this "dish up whatever you please and we'll all be mates on monday" needs to disappear.

I'm really starting to question where Clarko is as a coach right now. The players arent playing for you. The players look totally devoid of confidence and that starts with gameplan, structure and knowing that teammates are going to do thier jobs.

Clarko might have a lot of kids and he really might believe this is the way forwards BUT we're now starting to ingrain a losing culture into the new kids too. How does he turn this ship around?
Starts with the captains imo

Its a union mentality, blokes wont accept they have to do more. Sheez, wardlaw and drury are setting the standards now. There will be blokes in the middle torn . I am pretty convinced by the body language of most of them. Still not convinced either way re larkey. Whilst i cant ever see him being a power forward i still think he may see himself being a pretty handy 2nd banana fwd. I guess the question it where though?

I completely agree, getting rid of clarkson now is probably the worst decision we can make.

This is his real first year coaching so let him do the rest of the 4 years. People are saying nothing has been wrong, i call bs on this as if you look at the list on sunday, the age profile is where we need to do be it's just that we now need to put 60 games into that list.

We will lose zurhaar and uniacke but theyve gone past their life expectancy at our club. We will now manipulate the system to force 2 lots of band 1 deal out of anyone who wants them.

Our future will be built around larkey, sheezal, comben, the rest are support. When we get 60 games into the sundays list minus a few, we will have a top 8 team.
