Good to see all the ****wit supporters out in strength again calling for the sacking of the whole Carlton team, board and coaching staff...

If you dont like the club and how it is going, then why dont you just **** off and support a team that would appreciate your quality level of support...

We dont accept mediocrity... but we are realistic to know that the team has been put back into a rebuilding phase with us getting rid of Fev and losing a quality mid in Stevens before his time was up.

I have said it before, we are a team in the 6-12 range... it will be a couple of years before we are in the 1-4 range but all you stupid dill's who think that we should be challenging for the premiership this year are the ones who are over-reaching yourselves.

Yes, we lost today... we lost to a team that will probably be playing in this years grand final and you think that we should have beaten them... get real.

Im not qualified to comment on Ratten's coaching ability but it seems to me the players dont play with the passion of teams like Sydney and Hawthorn who are, while in different stages of development in the same area of the ladder as we are. There seems to be a lack of mental aggressiveness not lack of talent

The matter of "accepting mediocrity" is an interesting one. Can someone define the term for me please?

Also, how does not accepting mediocrity on the part of supporters actually change anything?

That is exactly what we are & we are playing accordingly. Of course I'm not happy with us being a middle of the road team, but you can't really suck for 6 years & then suddenly flick a switch & be a Top 4 side, particularly when part way through your rebuild you sack a coach & then have to 'bed down' a new coaching structure & part way through that lose your best forward.

For years our club was spending very little on our Football Department & nothing on player development. We have only recently moved into a modern facility (how long have Collingwood been at the Lexus Centre?), which brings our players up to what other teams have had access to for years, yet some expect us to already be world beaters.

I'm not happy with much of what we have dished up on the field in the last 8 weels, but I am looking at the bigger picture, when our most talented players outside of Judd e.g. Yarran, Murphy, Kreuzer, Gibbs, Lucas, Bower etc, will also be our most experienced players, much like Didak, Swan, Ball, Davis, Jolly etc are at Collingwood.

Ask how Fremantle did it they would be in the 4 if they didn't have their injury list of late.

I think it would be an indictment on the competition if we made the finals, I really do, we would be making up the numbers, those teams who have a chance of making the 8 have more heart than we do and would be much more worthy finals opponents, I'd be pretty embarrassed if we made it tbh

To be fair, the bottom half of the eight all seem to just be making up the numbers.

Even Hawthorn, seeing them lose to Port today really shows how even/not as good the 5th-16th spots are.

very surprising loss by the Hawks. Maybe last weeks game with the Saints took alot out of both teams.

Disagree, finals experience for a young group is always welcomed.

Christ it's frustrating when a team that can beat the premiers and then the runnersup, then a bunch of interstate teams can't at least be competitive. But then I think about the injuries, the form fluctuations, the comparative development and somehow I find peace of mind.

I think it's time we stop living off those wins.

Facts are, we've played 8 games against the current top 8 sides. We are 2-6, our only wins being those two you mentioned.

You can gloss over this all you like Ratten said today that it was the most dissapointed he has ever been.They are not hard enough and that is dissapointing Skill is one thing Heart is everything supporters would accept honourable losses todays wasnt.

The factis we are junk now. We will be lucky to scrape into the 8. Anything less than a 10 goal loss next week is positive.
