Oh look I seem to have stumbled across Carlton's Facebook page.
It's one thing to get angry and demand answers but it's another to post stupid overreactive statements

Everyone has a right to vent, critise their team, if you aren't hurting by todays performance or the last 7 weeks then there is something wrong with you, instead of calling people trolls etc we need to actually critise, everyone has opinions and ideas, pretty simple.

I have stuck with this club through 9 years of crap and the fact that they are still putting out efforts like this is ridiculous.

just a question, how old are you sherb?

i'm 17 which means that for almost 3/4 of my life i have had to endure Carlton's worst period in history, the majority of posters on this board have been able to experience a couple of premierships, some have even lived through 5 or 6 of them so saying that i have no spine is harsh considering the shit i have had to contend with as a Carlton supporter.

That's all good. Is that reason to say "**** off Carlton" though? Think before you post.

I'm lucky, I've seen a number of premierships from the Blues. It allows me the luxury of coping with crap like this a bit better, I'll readily admit.

But do you think you are alone at your age in not seeing your club win one? Ask Melbourne supporters how it feels, or Saints, or Bulldogs, or even long-term Pies supporters for that matter.

You're unlucky in that so far in your time supporting the Blues have been largely crap. But the wheel will turn at some stage. You just have to hang in there. You have no choice. That's what makes a quality supporter.

I'm shattered by todays performance, but unlike you, Captain Negativity, I don't post stupid statements.
The entire team has performed poorly so lets delist them all and replace them with the Bullants, sack Ratten, Sticks and Swan. Is that better? Is this how I'm supposed to contribute they way you say?

That was a long time ago CFC, can't hang our hats on that anymore, a lot needs to be done, but we are still in the eight and still a chance of making the finals.

Being 8th is a bit of a joke at the end of the day anyway, just means you are middle of the road team and because you made finals it is considered a succesful year. So the final eight system is just to keep people interested a bit longer and for the AFL to make heaps of cash.

Ratten needs to go. Judd for kennedy has turned out to be a failure. Either Judd is too old or his past injuries are still effecting him. Hendersen is useless, no wonder brisbane gave him up so easily.

Gibbs doesn't look like a number draft pick to me. I would take someone like roughhead from hawthorn anyday or palmer from freo.

Ratten always drafts in the same type of players, soft and weak. His favourites, Joseph, carrazzo and armfield are all miget muppets. Can't even hold onto a tackle.

Rioli is ten times better than yarran. Warnock is a *******. Simpson tries hard. Russell is weak minded.

Murphy and waite can't do it all on their own.

I'm not sure about the Judd deal now because when we traded Fevola his value went down to get him.We now short of a key position forward that can take years to develop.Judd may be killed or in a wheelchair before it the way he try to do everything.The other thing if we kept Kennedy i'm sure the spudrecruiter would have used our good picks on one player who was a broken down player who played 1 great year.The other young kid would have been a great person well educated and respected who can't play who got delisted in 4 years later.

Team list can have a few changes as their isn't many new draftee to take this year.The sack Ratten, Sticks and Swan are all possibly if their are better people out their available.This is a board decision.I like too see Kernahan taking over the forward role as a coaching forward.He knew how to lead and could develop guys like Henderson,Bower or Hampson. He may even improve Ohailipin and Fisher also.I think his wasted up stairs in a tie and running the club when their better stiffs for the job.He comes across as a mentor to teach players how to attack the game.

Is effort the problem? Part of it perhaps but what's much more concerning for mine is how poorly coached and drilled we seem to be. As the weeks go by I'm thinking more and more that Ratten isn't the man for the job.

That is exactly what we are & we are playing accordingly. Of course I'm not happy with us being a middle of the road team, but you can't really suck for 6 years & then suddenly flick a switch & be a Top 4 side, particularly when part way through your rebuild you sack a coach & then have to 'bed down' a new coaching structure & part way through that lose your best forward.

For years our club was spending very little on our Football Department & nothing on player development. We have only recently moved into a modern facility (how long have Collingwood been at the Lexus Centre?), which brings our players up to what other teams have had access to for years, yet some expect us to already be world beaters.

I'm not happy with much of what we have dished up on the field in the last 8 weels, but I am looking at the bigger picture, when our most talented players outside of Judd e.g. Yarran, Murphy, Kreuzer, Gibbs, Lucas, Bower etc, will also be our most experienced players, much like Didak, Swan, Ball, Davis, Jolly etc are at Collingwood.

As much as it hurts, we're nowehere near the top 6 teams so if we happened to fall in to 8th it would be just luck. We are where we are; if we miss we miss - we are a long way off the top and we have a lot of things to work on.
