Watched Larry King a nd some lawyers going over this. It was pretty well done as they concentrated on the facts rather than just the emotion of it being Kobe. My gut feeling is that he's in trouble, but like OJ it will drag on and on and we'll be sick of it if you aren't already are.

the actual verdict isnt till after the season is it? so it wont really affect the lakers this year, next year they'll have no hope anyway as malone nad payton wont be allowed to bring there walking frames onto the court

Yes but he probably wont perform as well since he will be worrying about the case every day

Lakers have always done well invalids. Baylor, Chamberlain, West and Abdul Jabbar. All these players required walking frames to finish their careers and all won a Championship (except Baylor who couldn't get out of bed in his final year) in the last two or three seasons of their careers. And now we have Malone and Payton. Bring on another Championship.
