Pretty sure if they are down at halftime the AFL will bring in a rule that Serong Pearce Treacy and Amiss have to play for the Swans in the second half, and every Swans goal will be worth 20 points. Then they will take the goal posts out of the end we are kicking to.

Unlikely as it is, we want to play Port of the current top 8 sides. The AFL may not even remember to send any umpires to the game and Darcy can can go Godzilla mode.

If we play Carlton in a GF, the way the umpies have diddled us in the past against them - manufactured free in dying seconds, giving the ball to the wrong bloke miles away from where it should have been paid/ignored touched ball leading to incorrect mark and goal, double down on that with the only dissent free paid all year giving them a shot at goal from the square in the dying seconds of the game - will look like masterpieces of magisterial fairness and rectitude.

There's plenty to whinge about with the AFL, although I imagine most of it stems from commercial considerations and inherent bias that comes from decision making being predominantly in Melbourne.

I think the umpiring carry-on is a bit over the top though, how did the dissonance work when Darcy got that free for Collingwood's time wasting?

I felt that was the even up call from The Amiss call that handed them a goal and gave them some momentum in the 1st.

One of the key tenets for umpires is to move on past previous decisions, and just call what they see.
Occasionally you do see a soft call shortly after a bad one the other way, but it's almost always immediate.

I just think some people have this victim mentality, every team whinges about the umpires and the conspiracy calls get a bit tiresome.

After 30 years of not succeeding the old fashioned way I think the time is right for the supporters to manifest a premiership into reality. We just all need to truly believe and it will become real.

Never said it was a conspiracy...I just remembered media and many pies supporters losing their minds over the Darcy free kick while completely ignoring other favourable calls that went their way.

The only game this year I felt we were 100% robbed in was the Carlton game.

I felt pretty hard done by in the Carlton game, especially because it was exacerbated by some of the previous occurrences.
I just don't believe it was the umpires out to get Freo, poor decision yes, but some AFL conspiracy nah.
