Cameron's lifted his performance dramatically to kick this year off. He's smart around the ball and can kick a goal when we need it. Cam more than deserves to be at Carlton:thumbsu:.

The guy obviously has talent. Carlton have a history of recruiting "rejects" who for some reason don't make it at their original club but are good enough to have an impact at AFL level. Look at Spaulding, Mansfield, Murphy to name a few. All had different levels of success at their clubs but made a name for themselves at Carlton.
C. Cloke would have had a big year last year had he not done his shoulder (this hampered him at Collingwood), he was looking quite good. Now he's back fit again and carrying the ruck duties well. While he's usually gives way height, he moves well around the ground and gives it all he's got.
Learning to handball more and feed his midfielders, but a lovely long kick as well.
It would be a real luxury if we can get him into a key forward/defence post. CHF could be his eventual spot once Brett Ratten feels confident that Hampson and Kreuzer can carry the ruck duties full time.

This is a bit of a head scratcher...kicking is probably the one top shelf part of his game

Tend to agree here. CC has heart which is a little thin on the ground at Carlton at the moment.

mansfield? he was a gun at geelong before he came to carlton, average at carlton at best

If he can keep his shoulders intact, he'll be a decent contributor for a few years to come. If Kruezer is as good as everybody thinks he is, he'll probably be wasted in the ruck. Better to use Cloke and Hampson as cannon fodder and Kreuzer as an Adam Goodes ruck-rover type.

Clokes shoulders are a worry, though.

I think we had a glimpse of the future on the weekend - Hampson and Kreuzer should be a fantastic ruck combination for 10+ years.

But Cloke is a great interim option, and I'm sure he'll be around for some time. He always puts in, crashes the ball hard, and is solid around the ground. Given the propensity of ruckmen to get injured, he'll be a great third option in time to come. And while we wait for a CHF we can always play 3 ruckmen in the team and have one of them play up forward like we did on Saturday night. It certainly didn't hurt Geelong last year to have 3 strong ruck options...

Was sad to see him leave Collingwood. Loved the guy and the way he attacked the ball.
Pity about the re-occuring shoulder injury which promted the pies to let him go. It is good to see him getting a go elsewhere.

true i liked him at the pies , loved his agression and his efforts.

was worried in the richmond or saitns game i think, when i saw cam go down and he was clutching his shoulder. lets hope he stays injury free
