Skilful evasion of my question Nodder! You should go into politics.

I am much stupider than you so will answer your question. Our core of young players have now played together for a couple of years. Plenty of development pain but to have 40 or 50 games under your belt makes a huge difference. We also got a couple of guns back from overseas travel and some handy first year recruits. Long way to go but the improvement is pleasing.

Forgot to mention the new coaches, new captain and new president - sorry lads!!

Word is that Stillman has got his marching orders at Oakleigh. Anyone from the Krushers confirm.

A pretty tough job with all the departures they have had.

Yes Les, was trying to dodge the subject.
My opinion was that even though we beat both Parkdale and Fitzroy late in the year, we were probably 6 or 7 goals off both of them. This year with our new recruits I think we have bridged that gap.
Haven't played your boys or PEGS as yet and lost to Marcellin, so I will reserve any "B" call till about round 18.

I'm hearing same.

I'm hearing same. They've lost a handful of players to Clayton in the SFL, also Doherty's to St Bedes. Mick Harold to Berwick or out that way.

Not sure if I have the right person but a former Krushers Coach Chris Moore? Without doubt funniest bloke on the boundary with his antics during a game. In one game he baited the opposition players, bench and supporters who all wanted to kill him. He had the last laugh when his team came from behind and pinched it on the bell. And did he let them know it after the game. Whole team surrounded him to protect him from getting torn to pieces. Could give a monster of a spray when required and knew his stuff. He was responsible for Oakleigh's rise from D2 when they transisitioned from old guys to kids in the space of 2 years, and did a great job.

After watching OI and Oakleigh on the weekend, I can say that Oakleigh has a solid game plan and played their ground very well. Both teams are feeling the effects of a poor season last year, ie confidence.

Was it the coaches fault that all the players left? If yes, then there maybe a good reason for dismissing the coach.
However if the players left for what ever reason other than the coach, it appears a little harsh.

Can a new coach bring those players back this year? I think not!

Pity the Pirates with week. Pity its not at the Scammell

Long live coaches.

Called Karma for the way Oakleigh treated some of the local clubs in the area. Your turn now to learn respect
