Hoers rolled into the Barnyard and won the second and third terms, whilst the OC bookended the game well.

Timekeepers scored it 14.7.91 to 13.10.88 in Ivanhoe's favour.
Plenty of players kept the interchange steward busy.
Best I can say is neither team looked underdone ahead of round 1.

Would love the same ground/weather conditions next week......and every week thereafter

Both teams wouldn't have look out of place in the division above.

Robbie Campbell will create headaches for most teams this year.

C Grade have the best grounds in the Amos to play on this year.

Team will need to be very fit.

Getting in early

OI to beat Monash
Marc to beat Maz at Maz's new ground
OC to beat PEGS
Pen to beat NOBs
Banyule to beat Oak

Top 4 in 2013

OI - I'm biased
OC - Coz they are good
Marc - Just a hunch
Bany - recruited some fire power

Good luck for 2013, may the best teams win, except when you play the brown and white.

Looking forward to having the brown and white over at Clayton on Saturday, Maxie! It's been a while. The Frearson will be in magnificent nick for the clash. Clearly one of the best decks in the Ammos.

Tipping wise I am sticking with all the home teams in Round 1.

Which means no joy for you Max!

Good luck to all.

Yes it has been awhile.

I'm tipping that all C Grade grounds will be in good nick.
Gordon Barnard is perfect at the moment.

See ya on Saturday Les.

Round 1 Tips - always somewhat of an uncertainty

Old Ivanhoe to defeat Monash
Marcellin to defeat Mazenod
PEGS to defeat Old Camberwell
Peninsula to defeat NOBs
Banyule to defeat Oakleigh

Looks like its going to be a smashing day for footy. Good luck to all.

Hello to all in C-Section for the first time as a couple of my backyard teams join this exhaulted group.

Mazenod vs Marcellin
Monash Blues vs Old Ivanhoe
PEGS vs Old Camberwell
Peninsula vs NOBS
Oakleigh vs Banyule

Wow, didn't anticipate that - all the visitors. Probably a bit dangerous on opening round, but ah well.

Mazenod vs Marcellin
Monash Blues vs Old Ivanhoe
PEGS vs Old Camberwell
Peninsula vs NOBS
Oakleigh vs Banyule

Best of luck to all teams. Did i read correctly that OI have picked up another Heta boy??? If its the one from up Albury way they'll take some stopping this year. Kids going to be a gun.

Well at least my locals saluted to get me on the board. So for this week,

NOBS/St Pats vs Monash Blues
Old Ivanhoe vs PEGS
Old Camberwell vs Peninsula
Marcellin vs Oakleigh
Banyule vs Mazanod

Oh, a bit dangerous tipping all the home teams, but it is early in the season .....

NOBS/St Pats vs Monash Blues
Old Ivanhoe vs PEGS
Old Camberwell vs Peninsula
Marcellin vs Oakleigh
Banyule vs Mazanod

Monash took all their chances last week and were deserving victors.

Cracking game at the Barnyard yesterday in superb autumn conditions on an immaculate playing surface. The Wellers got off to a cracking start and led by 5 goals at the first break and could've led by more. The Pirates showed an admirable level of maturity in only their second game in Premier C to reduce the deficit to only 3 points at half time. The second half was tight, pressure football with the lead changing numerous times until the Pirates managed to score enough to hang on for a great win. Great to catch up with good friends from both sides. It's what community football is all about!

Agreed Rissoles, great day for footy, but the Pirates just wanted it more when it counted.

As an aside, there's a pretty handy lump of a lad prowling the goalsquare for OC in the 11.40am fixtures.....if only, Rissoles.....if only......
