You may very well think that, I couldn't possibly comment.

...then you better report yourself to....yourself about the Premier B post regarding the Tigers moving to the WRFL for 2014! If it transpires (and your mail is usually impeccable), it makes this weekend's fight to avoid 9th somewhat irrelevant.

Bit of a fizzer of a round 18 now. :p :p

Lets all have a bye, start Mad Monday early or get prepared for finals.

Their lunches will be missed, that's for sure, but their committee needs a kick up the arse, some of the things they have done off field directed at players and clubs are a disgrace. If you want to know more pm me, I will not post them on this forum.

Of course I could be setting up an elaborate troll so that nobody tries to stay clear of 9th, Werribee have a last second change of heart and two go down as normal. That would be embarrassing for all concerned.

And if your aunt had a moustache, she would be your uncle, OTP. I haven't seen any evidence of you being a devious sideshifter (in relation to clubs not forum members), so I have to believe that you wouldn't quote crap. Your reputation precedes you!

Well, the perfect scores didn't last too long.

Monash Blues vs Peninsula
Old Camberwell vs Oakleigh
Marcellin vs NOBs/St Pats
PEGS vs Mazenod
Banyule vs Old Ivanhoe

Round 18 Tips:-

Monash Blues to defeat Peninsula. I suspect that the Pirates may be a tad 'rusty' after celebrating Payzey's 300th and cementing their place in Premier C for 2014, and Monash need to hone their game plan for the finals.
Old Camberwell should win over Oakleigh. Even though the relegation threat seems to be gone with news of Werribee's departure, the Wellers' favourite son, Jordan Heffernan, plays his 300th and thoroughly deserves a solid and respectful win by his team-mates. Well done, Jordo, and all the best for a great game.
Marcellin will easily account for NOBs who are already packing for their trip away.
PEGS will go down to Mazenod. As I said last week, the cues in the PEGS' rack and Mazenod still need to tweak their game plan and negate slow starts.
Banyule to be defeated by Old Ivanhoe. It would have been difficult for the Bears to train properly this week while they were down on their knees thanking the footy gods for divine intervention. Depending on how thankful Banyule are for the reprieve, Old Ivanhoe still have a rough chance to finish second.

Yes I would like to know more......and oh a St Kilda supporter throwing stones....how novel!

So there it is ladies and gentlemen.

Oakleigh over-run OC who survive in 8th thanks to the Hoers smacking Banyule.
Seems like the Bears will "do a Monash" and avoid relegation if/when Werribee move to the WRFL.

Onto finals and its double Mazenod -v- Marcellin on Saturday at venue TBA
Sunday 1st semis see the Hoers don the brown dacks in both whilst Monash and OC wear the whites.

I'll go Mazenod and Ivanhoe in the 1st, and Marcellin and obviously my boys in the 2nds.

Looking forward to it.

All the best, next week, Scribe. Pity the Wellers couldn't celebrate Jordo in winning fashion.

For what its worth the loss that the Nodders had to have......the 2 best sides going at it this week should be a cracker. I would imagine the Eagles will feel right at home on the Casey track (in terms of ground dimensions).

Reckon Casey Fields, aside from being the best deck in the state, is almost identical to Trinity's ground in size (slightly longer than Marcellin).

Mazenod rested stacks of players as their thirds had a bye and neither ones or twos could drop out of top 2.
Plenty of INs to come for the Nodders this week!

What are peoples tips for the first week of finals?
For me, Mazenod have been the best team all year and it would take an amazing effort by Eagles to get over them.
OI and Monash appear to be pretty evenly matched. Maybe it will come down to who handles the 'hot' conditions better. OI for me, just.

Ressies. Doesnt matter. Marcellin have it won.

Mazenod are clearly the best side and will win well I believe.

Monash can win if they use their pace and take it on. Nothing to lose I guess, nobody expected them to be here.

Went past Casey today. Looking fantastic. Love this time of year!
