What's really funny though is our reserves beat Mazenod, Mazenod beat Werribee HOW? HOW? HOW? There twos lost again, they must have a heap of injuries or some players cracking it????[/quote]
26 players either injured/unavailable/suspended last 2 weeks. Our thirds have forfeited last 2 weeks and probably this week also.
Injuries have a big part to play in home and away games but become monsterous at fianls time.
Congrats to the boys on Saturday in beating Ajax who are never out of it if you relax for a moment. Ajax is a very well drilled and focussed Team who like to run and keep running.
Should make for great finals. Good to see a Great crowd at a VAFA game.

How about this weekends old Camberwell vs rupo game?

Who wins?

Old Camberwell have arguably been the form side in the second half of the year, coming from the clouds. Rupo have been the giant killers slaying Ajax twice.

Winner into the finals unless rupo win and old essendon win and make up 120+ what ever rupo win by. Did I mention essendon are playing Ajax.

So pretty certain the winner of oc v rupo will play finals.

The Wellers will salute at the Barnyard, to the relief of the coaches at OC as well as Scribe, must have been a tense game v the rampaging MHSOB on the weekend.

My memory of that year was that Rupo were easily the best side of the year, week in, week out. A couple of stars blew in and blew them away. I know rupo went backwards big time in 2008, but it felt unjust that they took the straight sets door after such a good year.
KB's summary is as good as any. Rupo and OC swapped results during the year with Rupo looking home before OC came from the clouds on the back of Holland, Jogger White and Parton. Carey had been sitting second until they were upset by Mazenod in round 18, and turned round to thump them in the first semi. In the grand final Old Camberwell led by 60 in the third, which Old Carey reduced to 7 with five to play and were surging forward when a smother resulted in a Loats sealer. Old Camberwell had 4 ex AFL from memory- Loats, Tallis, Baldwin and Rory Hilton with Kingsley Hunter replacing Loats the following year

Word on the street this week suggests that the Werribee Ormond clash this week will be far from a walk in the park for the flag favourite. The bees would be expecting an easy game of bruise free footy to ensure that there are no injury concerns going into finals footy. I suspect this will be far from the case. mathematically, Ormond can still dodge the relegation bullet if they beat the bees & Monash lose as well. I'm expecting a very physical contest. Ormond has nothing to lose, whilst the bees would be wanting to get through unscathed. Injuries and/or suspension could de-rail their flag hopes. Will be interested to see how the bees approach a game in which they dont have a lot to gain.

Word on the street Mr Beams is that Ormond might be including a couple big boys who haven't played all year and they would be getting the Bees looking oiver their shoulders.
Werribee should win by plenty, but the last round can spring a few surprises with a couple of dead rubbers coming up. Monash on their form last week at Rupo would give themselves a big chance to knock off the Nodders.

Word on the street.....more like words coming out of your head trying to spice things up a bit on here.

Werribee will attack the game like they have all year. There might be a couple of things that they will put in place for the first week of the finals, but they know that Ormond are not easy beats, especially at home.

Don't know what street your getting your info from but my word on the street is that 14 players left for Arizona on Sunday morning for high altitude training, and the club has forfeited this weeks game.

Beamsy, knowing how the coach approaches games I can tell you that Werribee will be all out to win this weeks game. Winning form is good form and you would want to go into finals playing your best football. So spruke as much as you want but Werribee will field its best side and play hard, fast football. There's still a couple of spots up for grab so this is the last chance to show form or get dropped next week for our first final.
Bakis's wedding's on the 10th Sept.;)

All valid points West. Im just unsure if what you have said will materialise. Ormond are playing for their life so I'm expecting fireworks. On form the bees should win easily, but stanger things have happened!

Ormond have had 17 rounds to have a crack. Werribee haven't played bruise free footy all year, if strange things occur, then I will expect to drive past Amy winehouse tomorrow on the way to work, and Elvis on the way home

And you might actually see Werribee play TT, or are you watching WRFL finals this week?

Haven't been to a single wrfl game this year, so not sure why I would start now.

Won't be going out to ormond, will have the twitter feed of rod Harrington open so i can keep an eye out for how much Werribee are winning by

Monash did beat nodders by 80 plus at central earlier in the year, so who knows???
