We should have a poll. What is easier? Winning tattslotto or tipping 5 winners next week? Hats off to TJACKA for his gutsy tipping efforts, some absolute ripping games next Saturday. Have no clue myself.

So glad they scrapped the Scribes tipping ladder in the AF last season. Otherwise, I'd be staring a wooden spoon in the face.

Some ridiculous results on the weekend really.

Guys, wake up to yourselves and start being predictable again!!! :D

I'd be kicking your arse. Bring back the Scribes tipping panel

Howdy all C-sectioners, an interesting round of results dished up by r.10. R.11 may prove to do likewise:
Ormond v Hampton (2 v 1)
Oakleigh v Parkdale (4 v 3)
Ajax v Rupertswood (5 v 8)
Mazenod v MHSOB (6 v 9)
Whitefriars v Monash (10 v 7)
So, me ladder will look a little something like this:
HR 9-2 36
Or 7-4 28
Oa 6-5 24
Ru 5-5-1 22
Pd 5-6 20
Aj 5-6 20
Ma 5-6 20
Mo 5-6 20
MH 4-6-1 18
Wf 3-8 12
All top 4 sides are playing one another so I guess it's a nippy opportunity to open or close gaps. Seriously doubt all results will go that way but I hope they do to keep it interesting. I'm really surprised with the closeness of the comp this year.
Anyhoo, enjoy the close comp good kids

Don't mind your tips Dud's but swap Mazenod for MHSOB

Q.Who kicked 6 goals at Scammell res. today?

A. Hampton Rovers 1's & 2's

Ha. They are shit. They are the softest team and a pack of pretenders. That number 1 is a tool. Couldn't get a kick and started arguing with the crowd. They are all front runners and turned to water when the pressure was on them just like in the grand final last year. Watch the wheels fall off for that soft team Shampton. Maybe that fatboy flav can sit on the bench all day in the ones like he did in the granny. He's a fat thug taking kick ins in the ressies cos he can't get a kick himself. The wirting is on the wall for that weak team. Ormond will bury them this week. They are GONE!!

It's far too early to write off the Rovers just because they've lost 1 game. A loss was due to happen. After all, when was the last time a team at senior level (not counting Under 19s or Club 18) went through a season undefeated?

Glass houses anyone???

Typical of you pr1cks. Disappointing that such a quality footballing club can be tarnished by such a rabid bunch of supporters.

Boys, can anyone inform me as to what is going on down at the High? Is the double drop a reality for them? There was big talk over the pre-season that they had picked up 10 players who would be in their top 12 at the club. Whats happened?

Jas, I think St Bedes Mentone Tigers in 2006 unbeaten during the season but lost 2nd semi but went on to win flag eventually.

I remember that 2nd Semi Final well, one of the best VAFA games you will see. When the final siren sounded, the noise from the AJAX supporters was just incredible. In fact, some Sandringham people who were there helping out with the VAFA said they've never heard a roar like it.

Some games can be won or lost at selection Thursday night. For Ormond to go into a game with one ruckman, when in the U19's they have a 6'6'' kid playing very well at Sandy dragons (who had a bye sat.) is a large mistake. No A.Russell,no Martinov but still no Beckett. He must have upset somebody, how many goals has he kicked in the 2's ?

Muzza, please, they had a 0 in the loss column prior to the weekend, they were behind for most of the day against Rupo and MHSOB, and as good sides do found something when it was needed to get up and win, and inbetween flogged AJAX, nothing at all with dropping a game, I will say however the way they lost is the worry, and it would appear that Oakleigh have something over them, much the same way as the kangas have over the hawks

Fletcher good player running forward, not good running the other way like MOST midfielders in the comp we play, i would like to believe that they are front runners but i am proven wrong time and time again.

I am a fan of Rupo, watched them on saturday, they are comming, 16 in the middle = GUN, only played three games i noticed ?

Loss Hampton
Win Nodders
Loss Whitefriars ???
Win Oakleigh
Win Monash
AJAX ???

Final 4 - Hampton, Ormond , Nodders, fouth will be winner AJAX v Rupo.

I agree! With Matt Jones, Matt Martinov & Ash Russell not playing you would have thought Beckett would be an automatic inclusion. I think he has roughly 48 goals in the 2's so far, what more he has to do is beyond me.

Also agree with why didn't the 6'6' kid playing for the Dragons play on Saturday? Not sure what is going through Barney's head.

Gawn is not ready for Senior footy he is 16 and whilst he is 6ft 15 he is still very raw and very very lean. Ormond had enough good players available to them to win last Saturday, they played below par and the Nodders played well.

So another alias now uncle mick

How many is that now?????

Had 3 days to mull over what to do and you did exactly the same thing you did last year. Originality cant be the Flav forte eh??

Alota talk coming from oakleigh anyone would think they have just won the premeirship.. Them and 5 other teams are on 20 points with percentage only seperating them.. I am sure Hampton didnt fluke the 1st half of the season and will be playing finals Oakleigh still no gurantee to be there in september so wouldnt be shooting your mouths of just yet when Hampton are the clearly still the ones to beat because they are on top.. Only time will tell what happens but this could come back and bite Oakleigh in the ass have put alot of pressure on themselves to perform and make September action..

Spelt 'Flahive', old boy. Bit of a stretch there champ. Think you'll find I've got nothing to do with that one. If it is who I believe it to be, the guy's a flog. Was into the yap from the first bounce and obviously decided to continue on here.

You should've heard them carrying on after the game. You might've thought they had just won the flag. Fair to say a rivalry has been built.

Is Big Browney still playing for the rovers??

No.
