Clearly aren't? Isn't their name supposed to be an acronym for Association of Jewish Amateur Clubs? Somehow the "C" became an "X". I would've thought that would suggest they are indeed an illiterate Jewish club.

Be careful boys, you are going to make the AJAX boys cry again.

What happened at Mazenod v Hampton? A bit of spite in the game was there?
Justafan is right, no matter what happens on the ground you should always show your face in the rooms after the game.

There was a raging homo in the Ressies running around kicking people, and in the Seniors, no23 kicked a Rovers player from behind who was down on the ground - he was reported and will face the tribunal tonight. Dog act. In any case, I still went in for a couple of beers with the ferrals.

OMG Rupo what happened? This was meant 2 b the year. Not much comin out of D1 n Ajax the only danger. All the early talk amounted 2 nothin. Oakleigh will play finals. Hampton will play finals. Both teams r limpin in. Ajax r the team 2 beat n Ormond will scrape in 2 b on the back of Mat Robbins. Without him they b another also ran with the rest. Good effort from the teams comin up but its a long season n it gets tougher up in c. Nodders b disappointin 2. Had good momentum last year. Is that post right about them not winning away this year. Back to the drawin board.

Well written, pal. Are you 6? Or suffering some sort of semi-******ation?:D

Well said Cam. Keep up the good work and its great to see someone rise above all the crap - especially after both sides were beaten by a combined margin of 100 pts.

They only had 17 turn up in the 2's,showed more ticker than their ones

Bedford, you are very outspoken on all things Ormond, for that matter all things in general. Your honest opinion please on Ormonds chances of doing a sen/res double. Throw in your opinion of an Ajax or Oakleigh sen/res double as well.

Just made a couple of phone calls and came up with this information. AJAX is a Jewish club and stands for "Associated Judean Athletic Clubs". The letter "X" is apparently used to cover all their affiliated clubs like Football, Basketball, Tennis etc.

You really are a ****wit Bedford.

If you actually watch 31 or 80 or whatever number he happens to be wearing on the day you'll see that he never hits anyone. Yes, he's annoying and he niggles and tries not to give his opponent any space but in the 2 seasons i've seen him play he has never done anything that would warrant a report. In fact he's been on the end of several reportable incidents from frustrated opponents. He hasn't played a lot of football and he probably needs some more time in the 2s learning the game but he's done a respectable job on Robbins both times.
I have seen him hit players behind the play often to the Kidneys,he is a sniping @@@@ and for you get ready to post on the D1site.

Now you are a lieing ****wit.

Has not hit anybody. Just the usual bump and niggle. If that's hitting then you must be the softest prick ever.

D1, never heard that one before. You are a ****ing genius. Bet you struggle to get a game in the 2s.

Thank you MM yes probably too outspoken,Ormond 2nds are a great chance, but the ones will have to play at their best, though Miller back in gives them a bit of speed.
I hate to say this but Ajax have the best chance, but finals are a different ball game, their 2's are not quite up to it and Oakleigh have just fallen off the pace in the 1sts,but their seconds will give the Monders their biggest challenge. No one to get the double but a great finals series coming up.

I was gob smacked by the different side Parkdale put out on Saturday compared to Round 1. A heap of unders who were smalls who tried there butts off. We deserve to be in D1, and we are generally disappointed. Playing 51 players at senior level tells a story, but we have been very lucky in our rise up the grades with very few injuries. The players have stuck together pretty well. Rupo will bounce back .

Ajax are now the clear favorites for the flag, followed by Ormond, Oakleigh and HRovers in that order. Who would have thought all positions in the top 4 could change in Round 18, perhaps unlikely but many results this year have been bemusing, possibly none more than the Mazenod capitulation against the friars. Whilst the friars have beaten us twice this year they are a good club and i feel they are not too far away from being back on the rise.

i think the letter X is there because at the start it was AJAC and pluralising AJAC becomes AJAC'S so it then progressed to AJAX as how it sounds.

i dont see how the letter X covers different sports...what is it like the X factor or something? the fact that club'S has an 's' on the end of it covers all different clubs in different sports so i think u just made that up groundsman..

Ajax are clearly now the new favorites. They are taking some real form into the finals. Oakleigh are the only team that can match it with them but they have had a serious drop in form and need to regain their mojo in quick time. Hampton are gone and Ormond, though great in the air, they don't have the run on the bigger finals ground.

Don't care any more but from what I have seen AJAX and Hampton are the 2 best overall units and should win promotion.

Massive efforts from Oakleigh and HR to perform so well at the level first up, particularly Oakleigh as this is the highest peak in their history. Will be interesting to see how they finish and if they can sustain the effort in 2009. The Rupo story shows how easy and quick you can fall apart.

Huge 2009 question marks next to 4 non-achievers in 2008 (Monash, Parky, Mazenod and MHSOB). All 4 showed some signs at various times but ultimately delivered stuff all.

Not too relevant to C Grade but big pat on the back to Monash Under 19s for winning 18 straight after years of being smashed by all. Great effort at any level.

You are a goose, the bloke is a rat.Whats wrong with playing footy instead of wacking blokes behind the play.No one in C Section or higher will ever see him again.

He does'nt deserve to be on the same ground as Robbins

Running around kicking blokes is a bit different to a brain fade and kicking a guy on the boot!! but he took his penalty as he should.

As for the seniors...well he got off so couldnt have been that bad!!

Ferals...hmmmm we havent had any other clubs saying this all year about us unlike your people, althou your supporters were alright it was the peanuts running your bench.... fell hook line and sinker for the whole last quarter and the guys getting benched in that time also.
Spent more time mouthing of at us than your coach did talking to your runner!!! Maybe focus on the ground this week hey?? Couldnt do any harm anyway.

In regards to AJAX, yes I agree they are the premiership favourites for now, but let's wait until week 1 of the finals before getting a much clearer idea of who's going to be premiers. The Rovers are a bit out of form & will need to hit their straps right now, Oakleigh would have to need a miracle (if they win against Whitefriars and hang onto 4th spot) to win it from 4th & Ormond's form is hard to judge at the moment.

After saturday's performance I also think that the Associated Judean Athletic Clubs, are favourite for the flag, has a better ring to it than just plain old "AJAX"

If Oakleigh win this week and you lose Jase, which on current form is possible, you will find yourself facing them a week later. I would be a bit more concerned with your own ship

Agreed. I was umpiring the game and it appeared a brain fade. Still no excuse for getting sucked in by an opponent enough to kick him.

Ridiculous statement. The player he kicked might've had something to do with the fact he got off.

I bet you're another rubbish 2s player. It's always the talentless hacks that feel the need to get on here and bag opposition players.

I bet Robbins had no problem with him.
