Just thought i'd jump on and wish my bro Jess Pearce all the best in his first grand final having been dropped for the big one at Belgrave last year.

MHSOB stand a chance? Living here in Oakleigh I've seen them play a couple times and a lot of talk around the town they are pretty unbeatable, peaking at the right end of the season. Might have to watch it on the VAFA website come monday, excellent feature that.

I'd love to say that MHSOB can't win as I have criticised them all year, however Oakleigh fail to have the class to compete with MHSOB. They are no doubt a more physical and imposing side but I think the nature of the occasion will balance this out more than in a normal h & a game.

Bromley may kick a bag but the Oakleigh forwards will be exposed by the running halfbacks, and the man-on-man brand that has got MHSOB this far will wear them down.

MHSOB by a couple goals and an early prediction that they'll be relegated first year back in the big leagues.

I'll also retract ealier statements this year about McIntyre, altough he's due for a quiet one, will probably have 600+ hitouts tomorrow.

Personally I'd have used ambivalent, but that is a style thing.

 

[The Final Word]

MHSOB comfortable winners over Oakleigh by about 50, a huge gale blowing in the first half saw the High go into qtr time up 55 to 1.

Oakleigh added about 3 goals in the 2nd but gave up 2 as well, leaving the contest just about over by the half. Oakleigh kicked 2 early goals into a lesser breeze in the 3rd before the High put it out of the Krusher's reach.

The hottest side in C Grade at the minute would have to be Oakleigh. Get past them first and then you can have a shot at either High or the Fields you are so worried about....

As I predikted, the unskilled suburban style of the Krushers was found wanting on the Trevor Barker oval...their physikal style and pathetik attempts to sukk in the MHSOB chargers floundered.

Probably a fair indikation of the floggings that Oakleigh will get next year in B Grade.

I'd suggest not posting at 4.00pm on "Silly Sunday"............ The High were far too good on the day beat us across all lines, showed us the standard we have to reach to be competitive in 'B' section. Well done to MHSOB.....................

Give Oakleigh credit... They were humble winners when winning two consecutive flags in 2006, 2007 and gracious losers in the GF on Saturday staying out on the ground during presentations. They've gone from D2-to-B in four years under this coaching staff, bloody good effort. Pity we won't see them in 2010 as our boys are back in C next year... I respect them greatly but they are likely to come straight back down... and we are qualified to speak about it, unfortunately.

Ajax are where they deserve to be, nowhere. I'd love to see them in D grade. I'd go and watch them play in the west somewhere just to see them get smacked up and the look on their pathetic supporters' face when they get pulverised. In regards to finals, good call from Template, sicknut blonde haha, but i think they will beat Beauy and CGS to beat MHSOB.
