"In that match, there are melee fines and URP charges bandied around. When is all that thrashed out?"

*Accepted Prescribed Penalty

Not sure on melee outcome.

Robbo, to suggest the coaches at Rupo have done little to develop the players is ludicrous at best. You only have to look at the amount of players we have within the AFL, VFL, QAFL & TAC competitions. The players who left over the summer did so of their own accord and yes, we miss them at Rupo as they were good guys. The fact is, they have left to play snr footy in a sub standard local competition (probably for some coin)and I personally hope they do well. I myself, was left out of a GF side some 28 yrs ago after playing 18 / 22 games. I chose to up the ante, work my arse off over the off season to get where I needed to be and was duly rewarded with a Snr premiership the following season. I chose to prove to those who dismissed me the previous year that I deserved to be in the 'A' team. Gotta say though, that omission still hurts. Dunno what else to say really.

it's unknown to me the effect a coach[es] has had on the guys who have gone on to play a better standard of football. you would have to ask each of them. i'm sure their talent and appetite for the game is mostly innate and can't be taught.

what can be measured are the opportunities you are given along the way. my idea of development is a plan giving everyone targets, time and opportunities to reach their potential. my idea of development is teaching everyone how the game is played. the importance of teamwork, strategies, skills required etc. in my experience this did not occur at Rupo.

the guys who left rupo don't deserve to be called reserve players. that was all i was trying to say.

i'm glad you experienced a premiership. its the ultimate achievement and should be cherished.

Think the above clearly sums it up. You are talking from your experience. As you have never held any coaching or official role at the club ( Come to think of it I can't actually remember you helping out in any way at all. You always seemed to be one of those supporters who surfaced ten minutes after all the jobs were filled.)

It would therefore be fair to say that your experience in this case is limited and should be viewed accordingly.

I like your work Dent. I've been a time keeper, water boy, goal umpire, umpire escort, helped out at training, etc. in junior and seniors. You love the cheap shot. Hiding behind a mask it's easy to take a cheap shot. You never provide replies you just get personal. You drag my family into posts to get me to stop posting. I'm quite happy to stand by what I've said. What about you? You haven't really said a great deal. I'm happy for you to continue posting this rubbish. Water off a ducks back.

Happy families at Rupo, sounds like there is some potential for a reality TV pilot!

This week:

Mazenod v Caulfield - Despite rumours that a localised downpour is due for Friday night in the Waverley area I think Caulfield will still come out on top. OMO oxyaction will get a work out on Sunday after this game.
Ajax v Old Camberwell - After last week the Jackas have put covers all across Gary Smorgon oval and this will certainly provide Sheehy's boys the advantage in keeping up their challenge for second spot.
Ormond v Beaumaris - The Sharks will rebound hard against the Monders and I would expect this one to be onesided.
Rupertswood v Parkdale - Great win for the Vultures last week, and even if they were a little lucky they were due some, but they wont add to that out in Sunbury this week.
Fitzroy v Old Geelong - The Roys will roll on against OG's who are in a deep dark hole!

Was about to say he'd always been a Swans fan, then realised I was thinking of you, not him!

Anyways, folks don't forget if you're at matches and have some fancy kids toy phone, you can tweet scores through to the VAFA who can make them available to the www.

C Res Qtr time : Fitzroy 1.0.6 Old Geelong 3.3.21

Pretty safe to say the bottom 2 are set and Old Camberwell have a firm grip on 4th. Great effort by Mazenod to knock off AJAX and Caulfield two weeks in a row.

Interesting scenes at Brunswick Street today with the visiting coach unleashing an expletive ridden halftime spray at his team behind the grandstand which seemed to have the opposite of the desired effect. They never seemed in the contest and are certainly at rock bottom now, but I doubt calling your players soft c*nts is going to lift them to great heights!
