C'mon Dent, player turnover in the VAFA is pretty high from season to season. Roughly how many players from the 2007 version of Rupo which should've made the GF are likely to be suiting up at Parkdale on Saturday?

My totally uneducated guess would be between 6 - 8.

Fair go Scribe. Have enough trouble trying to remember last years 22. Can think of three. KB may have to help me out here.

Rupo and CAulfield ajax and surprise packets OGs(who have recruited very well) to make up the top four

i reckon 10 D Collins, G Moule, B Brennan, S Bishop, J Plummer, L Brennan, G Phillips, J Phillips, M Gaunt, J Pretty, not sure if L Spinner, H Spinner and N Webb played.

Also I would like to give a mention to di langton who has obviously had her nose in the books pre season. Very nice references to the stats van and the maccabi games in the record. I'll be looking forward to more sharp stuff as the season gos on

Sharks over Nodders 26
OG over Roys 38
Ormond over Jackers 17
Rupo over Parkdale 42
Caulfield to inflict pain on the Wells 60+

Good luck to all, a great day to start what will be a ferociously competitive season. Looking forward to renewing acquaintances will some old foes.

Rupppo very solid over Parkdale at Gerry Green. Had an even contribution across the 22. Basically all i cared about was not having injuries as we move into the season proper. We had a major scare early, but all is well. Rochford kicked 6 goals 12 so we were pretty thankful for that, he is a gun. Reserves had a good win as well so spirits will be high as we move towards the challenge of Caulfield next week.

Good start by Rupo. Three wins for the new look club and all comfortable margins. Pleased to see Liam McG playing in the seniors. How did he go? 18 shots at goal. Incredible. Poor kick or difficult shots. I remember Jezza kicked 6.12 against the Hawks in 1969 when Carlton kicked 30-30-210. Sounds like Rupo might need a fullback. Anybody out injured who could do the job?

Robbo
In the 5 games we have played the Vultures I think we have tried everyone in the team on Rochford to no avail. Think he gets the fixture at the start of the season and circles the Rupo dates on the calendar as "specials".

The 12 points was tongue in cheek Robbo, missed quite a few, would love to know, i'm sure the Parkdale supporters would know (help me out). We did keep him goaless in the return game in 2008, i'm tipping he had glandular fever or something, personally he is a pleasure to watch, just like the young Rupppo brigade.

Bit of where are they now? in the beaumaris mazenod reserves clash with scott cummings playing for mazenod. He looked good with his short bursts of speed backed up with his strong marks and superb goal kicking.

And if not too late over the post I would like to join ur tipping competiton.

All the best

I hope it's a case if mistaken identity... as he wasn't named on the team list on the website. Could be a fine coming the nodders way.

gday everyone. id like to introduce myself to this league. my name is richter. i may be young (born in 1990) but im not scared of anyone, even if ur much older than me! so when ur out on the field, i may be really mean, but im happy to have a giggle after the game! so good luck to everyone and come down to beaumauris at ur own peril:eek:

Many thanks to Over the Post for running the tips. Here we go Round 2:
Ormond to out Gunn the Vultures
Mazenod to get off the mark.
Fields to struggle in Sunbury but just beat a young Rupo side
Camberwell to feast on Sharks (and richter!)
Jacks too quick for the boys from Old Fitzroy
