Very special saturday at shark park involving two of its favourite sons. Firstly club stalwart Travis Woolnough who plays his 100th game well done 'woosha'. Secondly Chris Evans plays farewell game as he goes a long trip to africa to promote aussie rules. It will be sad as we will no longer see the prestigious 77 out there.

Wow its hard for folks like me who aren't players/officials to be enough in the loop to know what you're talking about, but obviously it seems some young bloke has been tragically lost way too early. Condolences to his family, friends and all who know him.

Also very heartening to see the wonderful goodwill around the grade, as a few have said before, it shows how much bluster on these threads are really quite alluvial, with some very real people underneath.

Re the footy, its time for me to make the big push, so:
Beauy (not Beauey) to beat Ormond by say 5 goals.
Old Geelong to go down to (not on) Rupertswood by 3 goals.
AJAX to drop this match to Caulfield Grammarians by about 20 pts.
Parkdale to get up against Mazenod due to home ground advantage - 15 pts.
Fitzroy to knock off the Wellers by 34 pts with the Roys finally clicking in toto.

Pretty average day for footy yesterday and after that rain I reckon most are looking forward to the break.

I was suprised how competitive the Jackas were yesterday against Caulfield. They are certainly a danger side when they are up and running! Lewski and Blieden were very good, they just need some height up forward.

BTW does Josh Kalmus snipe 40m behind the play in every game or just against Caulfield?
