Ground is deteriorating rapidly with the rain we have had plus 5 games minimum per week. Heavy inside 50, patchy in the middle.

Great win by the Monders to celebrate Simon Keleher's 200th and he had a great game. The kids in the side were great, 12 players under 21 and 10 still eligible for the 19's. It was a great atmosphere at Brunswick st, true suburban footy and great to meet scribe.

Trav Hine is getting better every game and Plostins will be a good player once he adjusts to the bigger bodies.

Old Geelong v Beaumaris - A big win for the Sharks on a oval that will suit them will see them rightfully finish top.
Ajax v Rupertswood - I reckon the Jackas may rest a few and still easily get across the line. Sheehy may even leave at three quarter time if the job is done!
Parkdale v Fitzroy - The Roys boys will get the job done and finish off a forgetable season for the Vultures.
Ormond v Mazenod - Will be too good for the Monders and will relish not playing on a cow paddock.
Old Camberwell v Caulfield - For the first time this season the Fields have their backs to the wall. Win and it's a 2nd Semi, lose and it's an elimination final. I'll back them to step up.

I know this is going to sound very odd, but that's the second time this week I've seen a First Semi Final referred to as an Elimination Final. Has the actual term been changed, or is that just descriptive, ie small "e" meaning the First Semi Final can be described as bearing the style of elimination?
