Who has likened the Kenyan to Tyson Goldsack?
And, Who the heck is the Kenyan?
Without knowing him, he certainly is sounding like a ripper!!

I had the great pleasure of Co-coaching the Kenyan this season in the Old Camberwell Seconds. He is one of best young blokes in our club and is a gifted athlete!

Unfortunately the Kenyan broke his arm (Out for the year) after the first two mins he was on against the reds in round 5. This was after a limited pre -season!

Fitness is never the worry for the Kenyan however! Hen can run all day long!

B grade CHF's take note! If the Kenyan gets up and firing good luck in scoring with the likes of De sanctis and Mcguigan also tight as fishes A holes! (Desanctis full back of the year!)

Mark my words the Kenyan is a club legand in waiting, on and off the field!

More off it! :D

Great bloke!

Thx Us3. Weren't you a band that did a pretty whacky song in the mid 90's? So the Parkers arent the bro's. Fair enough. I guess one is a fair bit taller than the other. Parton is a gun and his half brother is a half gun ready to become a gun. You could call him a promising pistol, or perhaps a rising revolver. He was excellent in the last half. Rucked very well without much support. I assume the other guys were injured as i had heard he was a CHF. Certainly has promise. To knock over all the premier under 19 boys in a side that had only a handful of wins was mighty impressive.
Yes I was an acid jazz band that went around in the 90's, they still perform now and are actually pretty highly respected [go figure].

dont know if the parkers' are brothers but dolly and little dolly certainly are. speaking of the little dolly [kewpie doll perhaps] he won the under 19 b+f that you speak of only playing 11 games for the season.

No doubt. this would have been an amazing match-up. they are both dynamic players....

quigley
Brilliant and creative, extremely skilled left footer who is a vital member of a star studded Ruppo forward line. Rarely misses a target. It's clear he spent time at the Calder Cannons honing his skills.

You blokes are funny, Quigs would nearly fall over if he went on his left foot. Great player though!!!! Go Ruppppo in 2008!!!

I like it...Kewpie! Give me more of that funky horn........

Dolly has had a combined total of 5 touches in his 2 games against camberwell, must have been a good player 10 years ago, because he was beaten severely twice in two of the most important games of the season (camberwell vs carey grandfinal and camberwell v carey at carey) by a bloke who hasnt even turned 21 yet and was overlooked for the c-grade team of the year.

apart from the factual mistakes in your post, dolly played in just his 7th game coming back from a full knee reco and 12 months off.

i dont think you'll find many unbiased observers on here who would call him over rated.

the mistake in my post was relating to the fact i had him down at 10 touches in 2 games but was shocked to find he had only half that amount. Furthermore maybe its time to get out of the past and think in the present he is no longer the threat he once was...and those statistics prove it.

TOSSER that's all i can say

I would love to see you come back form a knee reco and be at your best in 7 games Blinky; however then you are obviously the nob from behind the goals stated previously. When i had my knee reco three years ago it took me a full season to get anywhere near my best , and i wasnt half the player Dolly is. I remember him taking us apart and that was only a season ago. Similarly i think you could ask KB what he think of Parton's impact in the two games this season. Instead of bagging Parton maybe you should just praise the Mcuigans superb performance. Most of your posts however seem to be ridiculous and arrogant. I am guessing when you go to B Grade you will be held in the same high regard as The Big Pineapple, or in fact anyone from Old Essendon or Ajax

anyone who has a full knee reco, no matter what the sport or the level of that sport knows it's a full 24 month recovery process.
i dont know if dolly will ever get back to the player he was, but dont stress he'll be a damn sight better than he was this year.
obviously the coaching staff at the wellers thought highly enough of him to give him an accomplished opponent or dont you rate mcuigan?

Oh Blinky, what are you doing. Dolly at a guess is 25?? Will play for Carey for the next 10 years if his passion on the field and for the jumper is any indication. Was an absolute star of the comp, both forward and in the guts when he was fit 15 months ago. Obviously he wouldnt have been thrown on the ball this year as the side movement would not be worth risking (nor would having players fall accross his leg be worth it.) Ask Ugly Dermie what he thinks of Dolly. I remember reading from him that he thought Dolly was the most dominant figure in any grade of Ammos he has ever played against. Not a small pump up considering Ugly's A-Grade and AFL exploits. His 7 games this year may not have been to your lofty expectations, however at least he got out there for the team. As Angel17 said, hats off to McGuigan who played very well, and you should just be thankful that Dolly was way underprepared and guys like Heppel, Ross and Trumbull were missing from GF day or the result that you have suddenly become so boastful about, may well have been different.

Dolly was brilliant in both games against Rupo, would be welcome at our club any day. Fierce competitor who can take as good as he gives. I wouldn't say too much he will be back next year in pretty good shape along with his gun brother.

In 2006 I went to the rep game to watch OC1's rep David Mitchell.Saw a great performance from Miller (Ormond) and Davis (Fitzroy Reds).

Also saw 'Dolly' for the first time.He was simply amazing. He was the difference in the 2 teams.A tragedy for him,the knee.I for one will not be underestimating him in 2008. He'll draw Heff,or Damo or Danny everytime if I'm involved because he is just so good. I f he gets into the middle it'll be Bear or Wheels etc< always our very best.

And Blinky ,even in my crow I acknowledged how close things were and where we may have finished had Carey had a few little things go their way.Mind you ,we had our headaches as well.

Pretty sure Al is nearing 30, probably 28 or 29 now.

He was part of the Xavs' A grade senior premiership team in 2000 before returning to lead Carey. Back then, he wasn't quite as intimidating as he is now, but I witnessed first hand in round 15 how easily he can inspire his team-mates to walk a bit taller with his intensity, courage and aggression.

Blinky, if you judge a well respected amateur footballer returning from a serious knee injury on the basis of games 4 and 7, and then consign him to the scrapheap, then you are not going to command much respect from me or most other posters here.

Yeah Blinky, I think that you might be drawing a long bow on this one! I do agree that he struggled against Old Camb in both big games but dolly is a great player and his efforts both times Vs ruppo would suggest that there is still a lot of footy left in him! I think if Old Camb didn't have McGuigan (who is very well suited to dolly) and they had to play someone of the likes of Desanctis on him, his performances would be more favorable!

Smarten up Binky, don't bag the guns of the comp.

oh blinky,
u silly silly boy! You've obviously had a few days on the fizz after camberwell's GF win, and suddenly you've summoned up the courage (stupidity!) to go around bagging one of the premier players in the VAFA. Pull your head in! McGuigan= good young player, Dolly= bona fide star of the comp, who for your interest, kicked 5 in an A-grade flag with Xavs when he was younger than McGuigan!
As mentioned, he was always going to be below his best after coming back from a knee reco... lets just wait and see how 'McNobody' goes next year if he lines up on him! At only 27, Dolly should have a few good years left in him yet!

BLINDky, you are an embarrassment to Old Camberwell. I suggest you stop posting c rap or Phil will be making a phone call to you. Do what you do best and serve drinks.
As far as McQueen-Parton goes, a good player in C Section who was a strong young bull in his A Section days. In fact he cost SKOB a flag in 2000 when he kicked 4 in the last quarter of the prelim.
I actually admire him massively as he left OX and went back to D Section to start the revival, something M Blood and a dozen St Bernards guys never did. Obviously someone whose past at school and the friendships he made mean a lot to him, which is otherwise known as loyalty, a trait that is very important in life...good on you Al!

Dont get me wrong, i love my Wellers, but Hilton........
Rory did his hammy running into Dolly and then was towelled up both physically and mentally by Howgate. A little sad to watch an ex AFL player get sucked in to the smart verbals that Howsy threw up. Keep it local Wellers, it will be the way to success.
Your Monkey.

The 'Local' Loater played ok Monk?

Ever played on with a bung hammy Monk?

The Loater is great. I drove the Loater for GF day bandwaggon. Nobody happier than Monkey that the Loater was able to impose himself.
I have never done a hammy sausage. Despite a keen contributor labelling Howgate a tosser, i was impressed by the way he handled Hilton emotionally. This was as distracting to Rory as anything muscle related. Hats off to the young lad.
Now that is being unbiased Brian!

my apologies to all, i had only seen him this season and my judgement in hindsight was very harsh

It takes a big man to apologise...well done Blinky. And you can serve me a drink anytime ya good thing!!!

As for anyone calling Damien McGuigan ,McNobody, you've got it as wrong as Blinky had it. Damo will be a gun for a long time in the Ammos if we can keep him away from the Vfl and EFL predators.
Will play under 23 rep footy next year.

looks like i'll be buying a lot of drinks next year for all you blokes, i have apologised and i look forward to watching dolly in full flight next year

Hey Meat Pop down to D4 - 100's of posters want to have a word - come down & back up those early season comments to everyone - At least Blinky had the courage to admit that perhaps he got it wrong!

Don't roll over & disappear! :):)
