Don't roll over & disappear! :):)

Give up on it please, possibly disappear, there is an old saying " pop goes the weasel". No idea about that but another old saying "go back to where you belong" or another old saying " a chef always burns his first batch of scones and there goes my first burnt offering, as useless as **** on a bull" That was Kenny's dad, are you and sausage related? If not start your own
thread and leave this one alone, then deal with all of the poo that you have not resolved.

We all would like closure down in D4 ...... JUST AN OPEN INVITATION THAT WILL CONTINUE TO BE OFFERED - Up to meat to do the honorable thing - after all who invite him on D4 back in the preseason???? ;)

Loosen up Brown - Life's too short!

You are a D*#khead, little man. Crawl back under your rock please!

Come on Monkey and BS....
You two have been the main protagonists on this thread all year.
Deliver your own firecraker finale to the season by enlightening us all.

Key match-ups tomorrow -
Holland and Deane-Johns
Parton and McGuigan
McQueen and Mitchell
Parker and Hilton
Willingham and Loats
Collins and Credlin
Heffernan and Angus
Chard???

Looks like I got the key Camberwell defensive matchups correct.
Maybe I should call Zoofest for a job next year.
My Carey defensive matchups were a little tongue in cheek though.
Master stroke from Kanga to play Collins on Chard.
Didn't see the Chardonnay get near it.
Once Trumbull was unavailable - K Parker was the sensible option for Loats.
I just wonder how Jessup may have gone - given he shutdown Durling after halftime - which I saw as a key to the Carey revival.
As for the medal - there were many who stood out in patches - but Helmet Heppell played 4 super quarters.

One thing I noted that has gone unmentioned - the pre-printing of premiership hats by Camberwell. Some may not have a problem with it - but in my opinion - a completely arrogant display. I'm not against celebrating a flag - but having caps ready to go for the post match - its not the AFL boys. Must be some solid loot getting around at the Barnard to afford such extravagance. Just wonder what they did with the 22 left over after the reserves got rolled (as I predicted).

yeah the caps came out pretty quick. i too thought about that for a while. think they would of recieved a pasting if they had not won and people found out about those caps. i bet carey wished they had known about them before the game. but at the end of the day, they won and did get the chance to wear them. arrogance has sometimes been labelled at oc1 this year, especially on the field with some of their players, but if you take the whole thing out i guess they will feel justified.

Yes the Preimership Caps did smack a bit of being a bit arrogant & there were not 22 left over as the caps were just printed with Premiers & did not relate to either Team.

I heard that some of the Camberwell faithful though this to be a bit over the top. I also have it on good mail that had OC1 lost that the hats would not have seen the light of day & would have ended up as shark bait at the bottom of Port Philip Bay.

By the way I also heard that they were donated by a club sponsor & not purchased by the club.

Heppell four good quarters? You are kidding!

His kickouts in the second quarter directly resulted in four Camberwell goals.
Not to mention the free he gave away off the ball at the top of the square( to no 10) and the late one to no 4, both of which resulted in goals.

Did you see all this?

The second quarter won camberwell the game and he gave up 6 goals for the quarter.

Interesting OTL - I have been following your posts in the past few weeks, and your apparent RED allegiance has started to turn a bright shade of BLUE (and blue).

It all makes sense now, you are, and have been rather high up in the OC1 ranks have you not? ;)

You had me fooled for a good portion of 2007, but I finally worked it out. Good luck in B grade next year mate. :thumbsu:

makes sense scribe, over the line either had a fascination with heppell during the game and recorded all his doings or he has had a look at the tape a few times since the game.

It's like watching a Midsomer Murder mystery - once you've drained half a bottle of red, things start to make sense......

Now I move on to find the true allegiance of that other non-Redder pest, Red Roy.
Quite ironic because when I was writing for C section last year, still well entrenched at Trinity, and running that internet show with Tommy and Scatters, I almost invited Red Roy on as a guest (presuming he was a Red man).

Much angst towards the Reds in '06 and '07 was as a result of everyone's (understandable) presumption that these guys who posted ridiculous pre-season and mid-season tips were actually Reds people. I can now confidently state neither of them were. The question is - who is the other imposter? This one may be harder to nail down.....

Mind you, it's not totally out of the question that OTL suffers from a severe multiple personality disorder - he could be RR too !!
Think I will start with interrogating Brainspeaking, and work my way backwards......:D

Looks like you have been found out at long last. This is gold.

I am going to keep a couple more pearlers up my sleeve for next year.

OTL is not the only casualty who will cause a little ripple through BF.

On your Heppell rant, was a great player. His free at the top of the goal square was silly, however OC1 already had a shot for goal at the time from 45 out and were likely to kick it anyway. Re his kicking out, it was excellent. Yes the ball was coming back in and goals resulted, however i do not think Heppell was the main culprit here. He was getting solid penetration into the wind, however the OC1 were on a roll and OC2 were struggling with numbers at the fall of the ball. It was a messy 15 minutes for Carey. To blame Heppell individually for 6 goals is rediculous.
Look we all can have our own agenda from time to time, but Heppell responsible for 6 goals and Dolly being a dud are bordering on the insane.

monkey, this is gold! totally agree.

over the line has not responded yet and i would of thought he has read these posts.

Scribe, well done, you should be a private i. good luck with finding out who red roy is! nothing will surprise you now i would of thought. i wonder how old camberwell would of felt if someone came on these boards who were not from old camberwell but said they were, bagged the crap out of old camberwell all year and created angst like over the line did for the fitzroy reds?
not cool.

scibe, fantastic effort to out the oc1 coach,

if it is true, paul you are a muppet, to sit there and get stuck into the reds for the whole year, when you have nothing to do with them is a disgrace ( but quite funny aswell )

Is there any history with the reds ?, why single them out ?

Ohwell at the end of the day you are a priemership coach ( although let's be honest they could have coached themselves ) and you have created havic on the reds and all involved there.

I too look foward to the red roy being exposed.

Keep up the good work Frase.:thumbsu:

I might be naieve (Jack help me out), but i cannot believe a coach would stoop that low. It appears one thing for certain, OTL is not from the Reds, if this is true it shows no respect to anybody, to all posters and the Amateurs. Very disappointing. On a lighter note,

Best Speller: Alo Saints Fan
Best Goal Umpire: NOBS seconds goal umpire
Best Timekeeper: 25 years from the Monash legend
Best Ground: Monash, i'm glad they stayed up
Best Forward: Rochford, Bagooley (only on what i seen)
Best Midfielder: Miller (much better than Kelleher)
Best Backman: The whole of OC1 (Mitchell very under rated)
Best clubrooms, facilities: Mazenod (great people at this club)
Coach of the year: Kornel Dachs Ormond Reserves
Best Umpire: The VAFA would like to thank that tall p r i c k who looked after Nick Holland and Parton in the prelim, Nick will be back next year.

What about Blinky Bill? By reading his posts and a couple on u19-2; one today by an Old Camberwell poster and i would be guessing he works behind the bar at Camberwell, and knows the game stats .Surely this narrows it down. I have one suspicion, and the person involved is a Weller club legend, but will wait to see on others ideas. Zoofest? Who wears 43 at Old Camberwell? I guess Randall Bone is a BT or Yarra player, whilst the kid and US3 are Old Carey, guessing US3 is the president from the photos. Monkeyboy is a really hard one. Not sure if he is Weller, Carey or neither. I am happy to say i am an ex ogger who has mates at both Old Carey and Reds; but will not out reveal myself, even though many at the oggery know:thumbsdown:

blinky bill is a player i think ,although not certain which one.
otl is not the coach.the coach is currently holidaying with his family and has no idea of these goings on.
the 43 after my name refers to Kouta..43 is a ressies player Cam Grant.Used to be my son in unders until 3 knees (that's right 3 knee recos,2 left ,one right) curtailed his career. He wore 43 for Kouta as well.enuf explainations

as for heppel's kick ins ,greatly discussed topic saturday night.OC did well didn't they.I reckon it must have been a fluke, after all the coaching staff has no ability does it.LOL

And finally the Kingbrown 2007 coveted award for the best poster on BF. Jascave from the Hampton Rovers Football Club. Looking forward to his left of centre thoughts on all things possible in Amateur football in 2008. Will be great reading. What about a match in Darwin Round 1 between Parkdale and Hampton Rovers, followed by a Mad Monday, that should set a tone for 2008.

Ziggy,

As one of a few (including you and your son - who I know was a very talented player, and will be a very good coach) who have made their identities known on this forum, I note your comments about OTL not being Paul. Still, plenty of family holidays may see a frustrated parent 'going surfing' at some stage, especially so soon after a long awaited premiership??? ;)

At the very least, I think we can safely presume OTL is someone from OC1, and one who would take a keen interest in kick out stats of the opposition's best player. This is obviously not your fault, but it really sh!ts me, and has done so for the past 7 months. What perplexes me, as a relatively new Redder and one who (along with Mappa and Gary Wilson's Helmet) has jumped on the forum to push the true Reds' line in 2007, is that someone from a rival club would bother to stir up a pot in such a manner.

I don't understand it. I think it's pretty ordinary frankly. In fact, if he had any balls, then he'd at least do me the courtesy of outing himself privately.Guess I shouldn't hold me breath????......

Anyhow, that's my rant, and I'll take my sorry ar$e down to the D1 forum from here on in. Hopefully I might come back with a flag or two (I've been waiting 17 years so far).

Actually, I'm probably making a Scribe comeback in C section in a direct swap with The Quill. At least I'll have some decent background info. on 6 of the clubs for next year!!!!

Frase :)

Best shirtfront 2007 Phil Reid on Scribe.

If you remember scribe who took that mark. That was equal to Newton's, and someone was taping the game. Mark of the year for mine!!!

KB,

That mark was taken by one of the only Reds lads to fire a serious shot in 2007, Chris Meighen - he finished 7th in the comp B&F I think.

Oh, and I concur with Phil's shirtfront.....my A/c joint (and brain) still hurts!!!

Cheers

i concur with what you've said Fraser.
if OTL is indeed one of ours ,his anti Reds posts are disgraceful and bear no relationship to our opinion of Fitzroy.

just rang the coach ,he vehemently denies posting on this forum at all, further he is in far north qld and has no access at the moment.Thnks for the kind words re Toddy
