He used to go forward at the Saints and kick goals as well.
He moves well around the ground and his ruck work is above average.
Lets hope he can deliver 22 games not to disimillar to this one through out the season.

I thought he was excellent yesterday, one of our best.

Performed and competed well in the ruck, and moved forward, and looked DANGEROUS.

Finally it looks as though we have a ruckman who will have an impact around the ground.

He'll fill a role as the young guys develop, but why did we commit to Ackland for three years?

He's as unco as Dylan Mclaren.

10 disposals - 4 kicks, 3 marks - one contested, 2 tackles, 16 hit outs, three first disposals, 2 clearances.

Not his best game. Giving away silly ruck frees within range of goals is unforgiveable.

I've been very critical of him this season, but I thought he was good today.

I thought he was fantastic.

He is never going to dominate the ruck, but his work rate around the ground was much better, and he competed well against Street and Darcy.

It would be great if he could do more, but if he can reproduce his efforts vs Doggies for the rest of the year it will give our boys something to work with.

Will done Cain.

Pre Season Draft.

My mate lived about 100 metres from Norwood Oval in 2005 when he was working in Adalay for 12 months, Unit 8/25 The Parade or something like that anyway.

As for Ackland..........

He's playing for North Adelaide this year and the Eagles Riggy is talking about are with Woodville West Torrens variety

Yep. He also played very well on the Weekend against the Panthers.

Serious question. Why did you let him go?

he is carving up the SANFL already. IMO if he stayed with you he would be your best ruckman. Maybe #2 at the end of the year behind Kruezer, but at the momenet he is better than Kruezer and Warnock.

He seriously isn't up to it at AFL level. Simple as that.
